They need to rethink their whole strategy on those darn things.

If there was truth in advertising their slogan would be- Hellies- We turn your kids into hell on wheels (literally!)

Helen Wheels? Wasn't that a song by Paul McCartney?

Okay, last night the Tony Awards were on, and I'd flip over to it occasionally (mainly during commercial breaks in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). Did anyone else catch the brief presentation of "Part of Your World" during the telecast??? Ariel is on her feet with a fishy covering over her legs, and then also a mermaid tail coming out from her rear end. It was, perhaps, the freakiest costume I've ever seen.

And yes, she was wearing Heelies, so she could "glide" through the water.

My local IKEA store has signs explicitly saying Heelies are not allowed. If I can get a picture of it I'll post it.

I can excuse that, she is onstage as a performer, not a brat onstage as a guest :D:

Eh, maybe. But I prefer moral absolutes to shades of gray. :D:

I agree that I have some trouble with the tail extending from her backside! Even little girls totally get that you "pretend" to be a mermaid even if you have two legs.....
I don't mind the Heelys in this case, but as someone mentioned before, it will be used as justification to wear them in the Parks

I saw the costume last week when she was on with Regis and Kelly, I agree it's a very odd looking costume. I saw her "gliding" along but I did not realize that they were heelies.

Last week I went on vacation to visit my youngest sister in Seattle, WA. We were walking towards the Space Needle. Once we got up to purchase tickets. I saw signs all over the place saying "no Heelies allowed inside Space Needle." Of course we did see kids crashing into the railings doing so. Also this is a classic, down towards the ferrys there were signs on the peirs saying ho heelies on the wooden piers. My sister and I were walking and we saw a group of kids. I am guessing the ages between 8 and 10. They were heeling around on the pier and they got their heelies caught between the boards and ate it when they went face first into the wood. We walked from a distance and laughed. :D:

If her feet are covered by the costume, why wouldn't she just wear regular skates?

Hmm, if Heelies are being a sponsor, how soon will it be before they sell them AT WDW and DLR?
So that you can GLIDE like Ariel!!

You are a better person than me. I would have pointed and laughed immediately. Serves them right.
