Stupid Board Tricks
vBulletin is starting to bug me. It is not always tracking new posts. I am reading a thread and I realize that someone is referencing a post I never saw. Also, it seems to count new posts from your last visit, and not that you have read. So whenever I load the site, if I don't go through all the new threads right then, it looses track of them. Anyone else having similar problems?

Yes, there have been times I've been reading threads on here, and when I click on "new posts", it goes to ones I've already seen, though it had the whole list before. I notice this seems to happen most often very late at night, around midnight or after. It didn't use to do this. Another thing that bugs me is that it makes you wait 150 seconds between posts; I'm on a half dozen other forums, and this one is the only one that does this. That too, is a recent occurrence. Why?
Re: Stupid Board Tricks
The posting rule can be changed by the webmaster to as much/little as they deem necessary. My other forum also a vB one has set up a 19 second rule.felinefan wrote:Yes, there have been times I've been reading threads on here, and when I click on "new posts", it goes to ones I've already seen, though it had the whole list before. Because one poster was averaging over eighteen posts a day.felinefan wrote:Another thing that bugs me is that it makes you wait 150 seconds between posts; I'm on a half dozen other forums, and this one is the only one that does this. That too, is a recent occurrence. Why?

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

It has gotten that I have stopped coming here that often due to health problems and then there is the chain of posts by one person so that I have lost what the topic was or had become. About ready to quit.

So you're saying that you can only post here as long as its a number of times you agree with?hobie16 wrote:Because one poster was averaging over eighteen posts a day.
What if someone else has a different idea on the number?
Or perhaps what if soemone dosn't like the content of the posts?
or perhaps if someone was PNG'd from a park, should they be allowed to post?
get over it people.

Re: Stupid Board Tricks
Can we please not have this flamewar again? I don't want to see anyone banned, and last time this happened, that's exactly where it went.

Wow we must have some hot smilies, lol.
Hobie started it.
I used to get a lot of russians on my board trying to sell stuff, wow, we get over the cold war and now the attack us with search engines. I hope they find my spare car keys why they are searching,
How much a month more do you need?
How much one lump payment would you need?
I am donating $5 if and only if Pupura attends the fund raiser at In-n-Out.
