I'm not sure why it's 1 and a half and 3 though, it would seem a lot easier to be 1 and 2, or half and 1 or something.

Whereas here it is the half a point for less than two hours late, a point for an absence, etc. I also don't get how a regular absence, one point, is the same as a no-call/no-show, one point.

Our transfer guidelines are that you have less than five points. I would assume it must be ten at DL?

I never understood that either, but my guess is that maybe years ago there was a way to get 1 point, 2 points, and 3 points, and it just got grandfathered in because of union contracts, etc. The best explanation they can come up with is, "it's how we've always done it."

Reminds me of something I saw posted in our office a while back, but I'll save that one for another time.

I think here a no call/no show is 4 points. I wouldn't really know cause I've never done it. Plus I believe it comes with an automatic verbal, the first time and the discipline goes progressively up from there.

Used to be 3 points and progressive discipline for each individual day of no call/no show, but if you did it 3 consecutive days, they would mail you a letter saying if you didn't respond within some number of days you're termed.
