Yup. Bob Carr, December 2 thru 7. Ticket prices aren't out yet.

Hey it only takes 20 tickets to get group rate, anybody here up for that?

Most decidedly not. Oddly, a fan of the books, and ONLY the books... how you can be a purist with HHGTTG is beyond me, it having so many iterations. The little git went in with the rigid mindset of a Vogon and could not have been moved off point by a point blank shot from a point of view gun.

Unless your family is like mine.
Mine is one of "those families" too which is why my brother and all his kids know the words to every Avenue Q song. When "Puppetry of the Penis" (a live show that is just what it sounds like) came to Chicago, we went as a family outing...bro & sis in law, me and Mr. Syndrome, bro's six daughters and several of their boyfriends. Now that's a show that needs to come to Orlando! They even had two Jumbotrons for those who wanted a bigger view.

Are the group seats good? If so, I'd be all for it. I leave on a cruise on Dec. 7 but other than that Mr. Syndrome and I should be free.

I'm planning to go. If the seats are good (I don't do balconies) I'd be willing to make it a field trip.

Darn parents have already seen it. I have a strange family too! :D:

I've never understood that either. I remember when the movie came out there were all these people condemning it cause it wasn't like the book. Those idiots apparently didn't realize that the book isn't even the first incarnation of HHGTTG and that no two versions are the same and DNA wanted it that way. As long as it has the spirit of HHGTTG and DNA it's a good version of it as far as I'm concerned.

People are just stupid.

The only constant in HHGTTG is inconstancy.

I wasn't overly fond of the movie, but not because of the changes. I just felt like they didn't give enough airtime to the Guide itself. I thought the casting was excellent, although even tho' I'm a huge Rickman fan, nobody will ever top Stephen Moore in my book (Rickman is close tho').

So how many of you are REAL geeks with "Marvin, I Love You" on your iPods?

First of all, 'scuse me, but I am conservative in many, many ways, but when it comes to entertainment I can let anything fly and enjoy it! You have a right to like or not like a play like this, but don't lump all people of a certain general mindset into one pile :D:

Can I drive the bus? I wanna go! Count me in.

Avenue Q is great. Other recent shows I've seen that I liked: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Drowsy Chaperone.
