Well, the cat let me pick him up. Thankfully I still had Matthias's travel crate in my car and in the cat went. Here is where the fun started: I called the Humane Society (closed). So then I tried Animal Control. Somebody answered the phone but told me that they won't be back in until Monday. I guess I've been spoiled by shows like Animal Precinct in these big cities where Animal Control works 24/7. I asked what I was supposed to do with the cat and they told me that if I couldn't keep it I would just have to release it!

For now the cat (as of yet unnamed, but I expect that to change quickly) will stay in Mattie's (Erie's) big pet crate. It''s big enough I can put the little Wal Mart disposable litter box, food and water in there. Kitty will be quarantined so no illnesses get passed onto my babies who are thankfully up to date on their shots. I will be brushing and bathing (one of those waterless cat shampoos) in a minute and then setting up his home. This could be fun!
Say it with me..."I will not get attached, I will not get attached, I will not get attached..."
