Pal Mickey

Post by Sarah Magdalene » Sat May 24, 2008 12:46 pm

I just got a Pal Mickey from Property Control. He is in perfect working condition and the clerk let me have a Sorcerer's outfit from a rather whacked out Mick that was in need of an exorcism.

So, I am wondering - how do I tell a 1.0 Mick from a 3.0? Can I look on the inside?

I also know that one of the versions has a medallion on it's hand.

How many versions are there and how can I tell which I have?

Check eBay. Type "Pal Mickey" in the search box and look at the listings. There might be something on your Pal Mickey that will tell you if it's a 1.0 or a 3.0.
The Pal Mickey doll is either listed in a toy or a contemporary Disneyana category. If you are interested in value, check the completed listings. (You need to be registered with eBay to do this.)
DL has yet to do a Pal Mickey. I wish they would.
LOL What was exactly wrong with the "Evil" Pal Mickey? I would have bought it. Would have made an interesting eBay entry or a great Halloween Haunt prop. :D:
Great find at Propery Control!

Fun! Mind if I borrow him sometime? I would love to go around the parks with one sometime just for the fun of it and to learn more about him so when guests ask me about them I can give better information.

That thing was frightening! I flipped on his switch and he started vibrating like crazy and his voice came out all deep and garbled with some static sounds ....

Oh yeah Shorty, I'll lend him to you anytime! He's fun little buddy! I been wanting one for so long.

Sounds like he was possessed.

Thanks! Sounds like a wonderful find. I'm sorta afraid of getting a Pal Mickey from Property Control because I have no way of knowing what is wrong with him, if he just needs new batteries or if there is something else the matter with him.

We've had one for a few years now and we absolutely love him. He's the one with the gold bow tie and tux jacket. He's already packed in our backpack.

I weeded though about six or so till I found a working one. I had brought him to the counter to ask about the others, damages etc. and I was told they they are simply ones that people played with too much in the box and died out or were damaged, missing carry lanyard or clips. But most are in working order. I had shown her the possessed mickey and she gave me his outfit and said that the doll itself is on it's way to the trash. She even tried installing new batteries in it to see if that would fix the issue. Nope, that mickey was EVIL! No change.

I have a pal mickey from my 30th birthday trip, a version 1.0. We forgot to take him on our last trip. He's still not talking to me, guess it is time to change the batteries :D:

He is just mad at you for forgetting to take him on your trip.
