Sorry, I only give that tour to maintenance cast or management who are in a position to do something about it.

That's a Sunday, so I'm likely to be on call for work.

On which point, I'm suspending my "Misguided Tours" for a time. Every few years I get a batch of "cluster headaches" (think migraine with a timetable) and I've just started one. I get hit with these headaches without warning, perhaps two or three per day, and it renders me incapable of movement and thought, much less walking and talking. Should be over in six to ten weeks though, I'll let y'all know.

You are still welcome to hang out at the park with us for a while that day...tour or no tour. We will put your butt in a wheelchair and make Donnie push you. LOL We liked your and SWMBO's company last fall. Hope the feeling was mutual.

Those kind of headaches just suck big time.
Hugs...hope you feel better soon.

Well, they started doing maintenance, but realized that the entire bridge needs to be replaced. So it's been shored up to make it probably the safest bridge on-property until they can tear it down and replace it with an entirely new bridge.
That'll happen sometime this summer. The thing is, it'll disrupt the parade route. The current plan (as far as I've read) is that they won't run Spectromagic, and they'll run the afternoon parade with a different configuration. They'll remove the castle float, and run the parade up Main Street, around the Hub and back down Main Street. (The parade without that one float just fits around the Hub)
Spectro is too long of a parade to be able to do this.

It's supposed to take two weeks. Latest info I've read says mid-August, though they have a 3-month window to do it in. They need the full parade route available for the Pirate & Princess parties through the first week of June, and need the route back open for the first Halloween Party the first week of September. So theoretically it could happen any time between there. (Just keep your eyes open for a sudden removal of Spectro from the entertainment hours)

My friend works on Main Street (in ops). He told me that in Aug, they will be doing work on the bridge (totally taking it out and replacing it) for about 2 weeks. During that time, Spectro will be totally down and the plan for DDCT is for it to start on Main Street, go down and around the Castle hub, and end on Main Street. That should be really interesting.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

The CIA lists Japanese and Chinese as a level 5 language (hardest group for native English speakers). Reading it is a lot of fun. 3 writing systems and grammar allows for amazing customization of sentences and expressions. There are a great deal of synonyms and heteronyms in Nihongo. (example of a heteronym: 日 read: ニチ ジツ ひ -び -か あ あき いる く くさ こう す たち に にっ につ へ (pronunciation in katakana is onyomi) and vast different meanings and uses) some will even give the exact same definition but their use must be very specific to the context or you sound like "baka gaijin" and trust me, we all do :D
I found Japanese not that difficult to learn to speak, just read :) I never got good with my kana, I really need to get back into studying it. Since I work for a Japanese company, it would do me good I think. I studied for 2 hours a week with a private instructor at work (only $6/hr!), but never got much chance to use it. Maybe I should look into the local Japanese Society or something.

Have you seen an ENT guy?

A couple. The last took a cat scan of my skull (appears empty), and sent me to a dentist. Dentist cleared me and sent me to a neurologist. I'm now working on my third neurologist, who seems to have found the answer.

"Chronic paroxysmal hemicrania (CPH)" is what he thinks I've got, which is a lot harder to spell than "cluster headache" or even "migraine". But if the drugs for that keep me headache free, I can learn!
