Re: Monorail Parking (all others will be towed at owner's expense)
PRT would be interesting but can it load people very quickly? Is there going to be a bottle-neck at loading at MK for example? People movers only move as fast as all the units on the systems can be loaded and unloaded. Loading people into such a vehicle is not as easy as it sounds at WDW. A lot of ECVs, lot of issues, lot of huge parties, lot of questions, lot of hesitation. etc.
Would work great if there is a very long platform with many units and then they merge to a clear track and go at the pace of the guests of that particular unit and not all guests waiting on all other guests. Otherwise mass transit would be better because it works well in other areas. I read several articles on expanding the monorail and many of the writers have this notion that monorails have too much capacity needed for WDW resorts and I disagree. Even the relatively small resorts on the SSL can get backed up on the platform and load full trains for many hours a day. People in WDW are on the move a lot.

We love our monorail. :) It's goes up under the christmas tree. Now if I could just find a good Disney tree topper that will fit on our tree. Right now we are using ears, this last year used the son's and the year before the daughters. :p: Our familys are really starting to think we're a little nuts.

We started using a Tinkerbell in Christmas finery as the tree topper.I LUV Chip wrote:We love our monorail. :) It's goes up under the christmas tree. The antique angels that DW has have been regulated to the top of the china cupboard.

We have a Cinderella Castle tree topper for our tree.. It is really nice. It only ever saw it for sale the year we bought it (but I also never really looked for it again either).

Oh either of those options would work! I will have to make sure I check out the shops next week. :) I just know that the ears aren't quite cutting it.

I have lots of Disney Christmas decorations, but I do draw the line at treetoppers. They're cute, but the almost feel sacreligious to me. I stick with my star of Bethlehem. :)

EB, I can understand that. lol Ever since I heard the joke about how the angel got on top of the tree, I haven't been able to do anything religious on top. It just seems wrong. :D:

Re: Monorail Parking (all others will be towed at owner's expense)
One Christmas Eve day Santa was sitting in his office frustrated. Everything was going wrong and Santa was ready to call it quits. First the Elves came in and demanded more money and better working conditions. Then Mrs. Claus bothered him with Sugar cookies that tasted like she added salt instead of sugar. Finally, Blitzen came in and told him half the reindeer weren't flying that night due to the flu. And with all the interruptions, he hadn't been able to check his naughty nice list twice.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. He growled for them to come in and in walked an Angel carrying a Christmas tree.
"Sorry for bothering you Santa, but where do you want this tree?"
Santa answered.....
And that is how the Angel now rests on top of the tree.

We use a star.
Legend: Alligators dwell in the sewers beneath Disneyland.
Truth: There are no sewers below Disneyland, and therefore no alligators in them. The secret tunnels are infested with mutant rats, however.
