Friggin kids.
I had the same problem. I was like 8 or 9 when it opened. I did enjoy Donald's Boat. I never did the ball pits in the Tree House. Never was a ball pit kid. Guess I never was one for urine-soaked plastic...

Totally!!!

We have these zip-line slides at the Challenge Trail, and we only let those between 42" and 63" and 12 or younger on. There are 13, 14...30...year old boys who will come and want to ride. My lead and I were talking about them last night, and we were wondering why any male over 12 would want to go anyway. You're sitting on a rubber disc with a chain going through it, and then the top of it hits the tire...a real nutcracker...so really, if the kids would like to procreate one day, it wouldn't be such a great idea. (which, judging by their willingness to ride, and the risk...I'd let them just so they didn't procreate...)

We always get the, "But I bet you guys go on these after hours!" replies. Umm, not really. We're all tired from dealing with you guys all day. We go home. You should, too...

63 inches? Damn i'm 69" and I love those things! Reminds me of a swing near my home in some park taken over by stoners and junkies. There used to be this huge swing attached to a big tree next to a hill. You could start out high up and swing out really far. As you swing out the ground was littered with shopping carts and broken beer bottles (probably some syringes too). It was very thrilling. That's probably why the place was nicknamed Death Valley.

I'm 63" (I'm a 25 year old chick), and I've been on all that stuff at the Challenge Trail! No one ever stopped me...is it because I'm short enough or is it because I only look like I'm 16 or what??

"Umm, is that real water? Are the ducks real too???"

maybe because you're a chick, which you pointed out. I dunno, if i'm going to go on a zipline, i want it to be danerous to my life, and not just my nards, Matterhorn to thunder mountian.... that's a zipline, they pay tink to do it, i'd pay them to let me do it, unless i had to wear the costume, then i'd call it even... better not let entertainment hear about this....

They used to let anyone over 42" on when the park first opened, but I've been told that Facilities got tired of coming over every few hours to adjust the slack in the cables, so there was an age and height limit put on it.

There's nothing else in the Trail that you aren't allowed to go on. Unless, you thought you could rock traverse in sandals, or some other open-toed, backless shoe.

But, yeah, sometimes it does help if you're a young-looking female and the Cable 1 CM is male...

I am 59" and I always go on those damn things when I visit DOA. I have not had any issues from any CM ever. Hmm, guess it pays to be a Hobbit upon occasion. :D
