I would love to be a Disney ambassador to Make a Wish, helping the children and their families in getting to Disney World. Meet up with them at their home and be there for them every step of the way so they don't even have to think about anything but the excitement of coming to visit our World.

That would be awsome!! I wouldn't mind doing that myself.

I'd like to thank you all for posting this. I spent way to much time at work reading that families blog yesterday, and I'm really praying for them and their little girl. You Texans are amazing - it really shows the best in Americans. And it was very inspirational to see all the cool things that go on at the Give the Kids the World Village. Makes me sorry that I didn't buy one of those stars at Maggianos on Mother's Day. So again thanks for this heads up.

I had a co-worker from Boston come down to visit our Dallas office. She asked me if men held open doors and let her on the elevator first so they could check out her butt. I said no, they are doing the right thing and being polite. Our reward is being able to check out your butt :D:

BW, I'd love to be a local Disney ambassador for these kids (at least until I can make the move to Orlando!) Although I'd hate to be helping some of these kids thinking this could be their last trip to visit Mickey. A mix of emotions, but seeing them happy would be worth it. Yes, sign me up!

That's a really touching story. It's nice to see people step up and do something for Jessie like that. That took alot of people willing to give up their valuable time for her.

I'm not saying theirs anything wrong with being polite by holding doors for others. I'll pick up pace just a little to grab a door for an elderly individual, or a person of either gender who's arms are full, or who has little ones in tow. I just don't understand this idea that women should never have to open doors for ourselves. Why is it the "right" thing for a male always to open the door for a female, if we are now supposed to be equals now?
