Do you know where you work?
So I'm sure with the holiday yesterday we all had our share of stupid guests (I know I had mine)... but this CM takes the fruitcake.
So when you pick-up extra hours in another department, shouldn't you know where you need to be?
This girl picked up a shift with us at Mission:SPACE at Epcot. which is all fine and dandy we could use the help, but...
... instead of being with us at her start time... she shows up dressed for her shift at Space Mountian at the Magic Kingdom.
Seriously where do we find these people?
:bang:

been there
I had gotten a call late one night from scheduling telling me that I was being moved from my shift at Space to Indy. Well I got up in the morning and did my daily routine and got dressed to go to Space. I got half way to work and remembered that I had been moved to Indy. Man was I pissed :bang:. Fortunatly I only lived about 6 minutes from the park and was able to go back home and change REALLY fast and I just parked at the structure instead of K-Lot to save time! I made it to work barely on time.
Re: been there
OK, that tells me how much things have changed since I worked for the company ... there was a time when you only had your one costume in your locker and any changes in location involved waiting in a long line at the costume windows.... :?IndyBob wrote:Fortunatly I only lived about 6 minutes from the park and was able to go back home and change REALLY fast

fast track
Thanks to Fast Track, we were all kicked out of our perm lockers :( . But it had its advantages, just wear the costume to and from work and I could leave 30 minutes later. But if you do OT or had a location change, then thats when it sucked because you dont have your costume in your locker and you have to go get one from the Costuming Building. The Windows were closed down sometime in the fall of 99 and it was all moved to the new building that was suppose to be more efficient. Yeah right. When it first opened there were litterally 45-60 minute waits to get a costume(during the busy season). Everyone was issued a combo lock and are about 5000 day use lockers they could use to keep their things in. It was really benificial when I worked Splash because I could literally leave my apartment about 20 minutes before my shift started and park at the structure and walk to Splash and still be there on time or early.

What cracked me up all the time was guys who would wear the long
womens indy coat thinking it was cool. I remember seeing people out at guest control whenfantasmic jackets ran low wearing them. it was too funny. you should've
seen their faces when someone broke the news that they were wearing
a womens jacket.

Silly CMs
Oh yes, I have a good one -- I used to work in Foods Scheduling, and this was back in the day when ODV was still in teams (yellow, blue and red?) I can't TELL you how many times a CM would call in sick or whatever, and I'd say, "Ok, where do you work?"
Answer : Disneyland
Yeah, thanks for that.
But the worst one was one day when of course the computers were down, so I couldn't look up by name or SSN, so had to turn to the good old dailies to find people.
Me : "Where do you work?"
CM : "Um, I sell stuff on carts?"
Me : "Ok, is that outdoor vending?"
CM : "Um..."
Me : "What do you sell on the carts?"
CM : "Hot dogs?"
From there, I could find this yatta's name. Yikes.

After three years as a lead on the world famous Davey Crokett Explorer Canoes.I can fill this forum with stupid CM stories. My most favorite was when a young CM figuered he would show off his athletic abilities to a very good looking female guest(herman)waiting in line by jumping from the mainland to the small catwalk across the loading dock. Will, needless to say,Evil Kanival missed by six inches causing a nice cut above his knee. I not sure, but I think the guest wasn't too impress.

2nd star to the right
I was stocking Owl Photo one night when the phone rings. I answered it because all the cashiers were helping guests. I said, " Owl Photo". The cast member on the other line said her name & that she was calling from Neverland. I was a little bewildered :? She proceeds to ask me about all the different types of Eeyore plush we sell. Because I do stock I happened to know each style that we sell in Pooh corner, which there are several of. After my entire rundown of every single Eeyore plush we sell she then states, "Oh, so you don't have any Kanga or Roo :?: That did not even pertain to her question & secondly she called Owl Photo where there are no plush, just splash mountain items & autograph books & candy. I think she really was in Neverland :!:
Is this Tomorrowland? No! We sell Star Wars toys because we are in Adventureland!!

Maybe she was calling you from Michael Jackson's ranch.Jedi wrote:I think she really was in Neverland :!:

they won't let you check out mis gendered costume parts now, even tho the steam train vests are unisex, meaning the male ones are mixed, so some are male and some are female, only marked up a few sizes, but all the female are the same, but it's cool, the female fits better.Boy1nterrupted wrote:What cracked me up all the time was guys who would wear the long womens indy coat thinking it was cool.
