I know that you can turn em in for prizes drawings and such. It's awesome that you got one. Hope you get many more in the future.
The drawing is a different card, although it's pretty much the same as a GSF card. It just goes into the pot for a drawing instead of your record card. I'd rather have the record card entry instead of the movie tickets or whatever myself. Although I have three GSF cards that I've put in the box but haven't shown up on my record card yet.

Not if they trained in our area. Maybe a core trainer trained them, if that's the case who knows what they were trained.

Hey, I've been on night shift for 19 years. I tried a day shift job from 1998 - 1999, but I finally fell asleep driving home and ran into the St. George's Bridge at 60 miles an hour. After that I swore never to work day shift again. I drink a couple quarts of milk every day, so I'm sure I'm getting plenty of Vitamin D.

That reminds me, I've had a few guests ask me where they can get alcohol. They don't like it when I tell them the MK is dry and they have to go to one of the resorts.

The other day I was working a cart in the evening when this man, who I believe was from India, asked where he could find a "men's bar". Try explaining that there is no alcohol in the MK and that if he wants a drink he has to leave the park and go to a resort to someone with only a little understanding of English. Wasn't fun at the time but sorta funny later.
Most guests understand when I tell them we don't sell alcohol, what gets the shocked responses for me is when I tell them you can't buy gum anywhere on Walt Disney World. Maybe it's because I work in the Confectionery that I get all the gum lovers.

It is my opinion that all true CMs are mad. It is said a sign of madness is the ability to hold two conflicting thoughts in your mind and believe them both fully. CMs do this all the time in regards to the characters and their friends.
HarryFromMarydelDE wrote:It astounds me how reluctant a lot of CMs are to pick up that Nextel. I ran out of blue boxes the other day and when I asked the CM on the next register if she had any she said she had run out about a half hour ago and was waiting for a stocker to go by. Meanwhile, the Nextel was sitting on her register right in front of her. This is a minor instance which sticks in my mind because it was recent. I have heard CMs complain about tons of problems which could have been fixed by picking the Nextel up, and when you suggest that to them they give you a look like you suggested they pick up a dead fish.

Waiting for a stocker to go by? Some days I barely see the stockers. I need anything I'll call the stocker on the Nextel, that's one of the reasons we have them. Of course it is very annoying when I call the stocker and they don't answer.

The core trainers I had never said anything like that. Heck, they taught me how to call for a stocker!

I've gotten the same thing when working in the Confectionery before. I've even had a guest or two shocked to find out you can't buy lighters or cigarettes anywhere in the parks.

My department, it takes until at least Wednesday afternoon, and sometimes late Thursday evening!

Wow, that's crazy. Any reason you know of that it takes them so long to get the schedules up?

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
