having been a safari driver before i can understand how annoying/painful/unnerving this can be. Unfortunately tho, had it been called in to manager for them to call security. I'm almost 100% sure the manager would have instructed the to continue driving. At least from my experience there the managers didnt want us to be stopping ride operation for anything. i once got a safety reprimand for momentarily stopping because a child kept standing up. More so i doubt security would have come onto the ride path to take the family off the truck, or have asked them the leave the park had security been there at unload. Just my opinion tho ;)

A Trophy Baby.
Unfortunatly I don't think it's the trophy child idea that's new... people have been having kids because of the associated idea that they've acheived something by doing so, for a long time... it's the idea of a Fashion Accessory Baby that's new, and far more appealing. what happens to little Tammy the Princess Accessory when she decides the doesn't WANT to dress just like mommy anymore?

Wow, you stopped because a child kept standing up on the truck, and they called it a safety violation by you??? That stinks.

In any case, love your name, DailyComplainer! You'll fit right in here!!! :)

Say what? I've done that with a manager on board, and they didn't say a word, except that I handled that properly. How long ago was this? That's completely nuts. I am really curious which manager that was. Could you PM me with their name? I'm betting it might be a certain manager who is no longer in Africa.

Sounds like the H I P (see the name of this thread) has opened up a course on management, and whoever gave you that reprimand attended that school... and probably did very well there.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Big Wallaby- I have been on the Safari ride with my sisters. We did have a stupid brat that tried to stand up on the seats. Mom and dad were ok on this. But when the driver caught wind of the kids actions, the driver stopped and said " For your safety and your children's safety, please remain seated." This means your behind is on the seat and not standing!" The brat then sat down for the remaining of the ride.
I will be going back to the park in Sept. 2008. I hope to have you for a driver. :)

I told this story on another thread, but I can repeat it.

Reminds me of one of the trips to WDW and riding on Safari, the CM is spieling and in the middle we hear "SIT DOWN YOUNG MAN!" and then goes right back into it, as if someone else came on the speakers and yelled at the kid. It was awesome.

Yet another thing which, had an RO at Knott's had done it, not only would they have gotten yelled at by the parents, but gotten their ass kicked by management.
