The welcome show is most every morning, at least this and next week, you just have to be there at the right time.
Main Street Trolley is everyday at 9:25am, 10:15am, and 11:00am. There was one time I saw them using the omnibus instead of the horse-drawn trolley for some reason. That was interesting, sadly though I couldn't really watch as I was working.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

I'll be there at 7:55 a.m. on Friday - I'm the mom with the 18 yr. old girl, 5 and 6 yr. old boys, and tears streaming down my face as I try not to sob.
Tears of joy, of course.

(I also cry like a baby when I hear the song the CMs sing on Main Street.) I've noticed that the actual "program" doesn't happen every day, is there a schedule for that? Like every friday, saturday and tuesday performers actually open the park?
Thanks for any help you can give me on this!!
You know I cry like a baby just being there! Wahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! I love all of it so much and sometimes it just overwhelms your senses and emotions. I cry at the fireworks and the parades and seeing the characters. I am such a blubber baby, cause I love it all so much and only get to see it on trips. Now those lucky enough to live right near the Parks or actually work there, I bet they cry sometimes too! :p:

I guess sometime in my life I need to get my rear end out of bed and actually be at a park for rope drop. Earliest I have ever been to a park is 11 in the morning.

A few possible thoughts on why the omnibus. If weather is iffy (horses tend to get skittish if there is thunder), or something in scheduling has gone awry so there is no horsedrawn trolly sheduled for that morning, they have probably not brought the horses over from Ft Wilderness. In that case, they would substitute the omnibus. One other possible reason the trolly is not ready to run could be that if high crowds are expected, they may delay deploying the trolly until the morning crush subsides. Busses don't get nervous when the crowd begins to crowd too close. Until you volunteer to pull the trolly if the don't have an available horse, they will probably tend to substitute the bus. ;) :D:

I'm sorry - I just had to laugh at the image of them loading those big draft horses onto one of the passenger boats to bring them over to Magic Kingdom from Fort Wilderness. :D:
How DO they get them over there - trailer them, ride them, or lead them? Just wondering.
