When I started travelling A LOT for work, DW got me the famous space bags, and the compression packing boards, I could get a weeks worth of clothing in a small carry-on. (really had to color coordinate all my stuff!!)

Just remember anything you pack as far as sundries (toothpaste, shaving cream, etc.) has to be that teeny size or the airlines will confiscate it and you will have to buy new ones anyhow.
Or stay at a HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS and we give you that stuff for free!

That's just for carry ons...checked bags can have regular sized bottles. :p: A really good friend of mine works for TSA and oh the stories she tells...LittleDollClaudia wrote:Just remember anything you pack as far as sundries (toothpaste, shaving cream, etc.) has to be that teeny size or the airlines will confiscate it and you will have to buy new ones anyhow.

Re: hey! Tell me quick- stuff you didn't pack but wish you had or-
Ohhhhhhhh...I wish I could help, but I am a terrible paer and I am trying to et my packing done as well, for our trip to WDW that we leave in 10 days for....
Now Ralphie knoes how to pack for a guy, but I always take too much and wonder the same thing, "Why the hell did I bring that?" :D:
I am trying this time to cut back, because we will be gone for a month and will be doing laundry definitely and so I need less to take. I take shorts, tank tops, a few reg tees, one pair of jeans, a couple of swimsuits, socks, athletic shoes, sandals, crocs, all the understuff, and my toiletries and jewelry. I also pack at least one dress or nice outfit and a jacket or sweatshirt for the evenings in Florida. Also magazines go into my carry-on with my medicine chest and a few candies or snacks for the trip.
The trouble comes in for me when I cannot decide WHICH shorts, tank tops , tees...etc...etc to take, so I pack too many. I am really gonna try this time to be brutal, because we also buy lots of clothes there, tees and shorts, sweatshirts and Mickey socks. And, they now have Disney underwear for adult women! It is cute! And goes from small to XXL! So I am keeping in mind that we are going to buy many shirts and shorts and will need less clothes from my closet. That is how I anm TRYING to do it this time.
Good luck! I hope you win the battle of the suitcase.
I am taking two small suitcases, but I also have to pack some birthday gifts for some Florida friends and some other items for my Uncle and Aunt, so once that stuff is out of my suitcase, there will be enough room to pack all the new clothes we bought at WDW! Ralph will take one suitcase and a carry-on with our emergency clothes in case our luggage gets lost. I always like to have a couple changes of clothes for each of us and swimsuits and underthings in a carry-on to use if our luggage goes missing.
It is insurance!
Have a great trip! :D:

We always take a towncar from the airport and they allow you to stop at a grocery store on the way to the Resort! You can fill up on anything you might need there. That is always a great idea, to hit a grocery store if you can.glendalais wrote:Lots of bottled water.
When I went to WDW this past January, I found myself regretting that I hadn't packed any water in my bag, with the stifling humidity being what it was (and this was at 10:00 p.m. in the middle of winter).
But make a list of what you need from the store as well.
Yep, room deodorizer is a must. That can be picked up if you have a grocery store stop.Elena (aka: Bubble Lady) wrote:[font="Palatino Linotype"]room deodorizer...they sell nothing at the resort like it (when i asked at the front desk they practically accused me of smoking in the room...it was more than embarrassing to have to say that i was having tummy troubles

I haul my wheelchair along now too, since we are going places after WDW where I cannot rent an ECV.
A HAT is neccessary for the sun!
I'll keep thinking!

Don't forget your trading pins!
I got up early to go to a recent pin event in Hollywood, remembered to bring some LE's to trade but DOH! forgot my 10 ordinary traders from the Disney store and missed out trading for a PLETHORA of CM pins!
Still upset! did trade a few good LE's, tho.

Those bags are awesome, Pirate. I have some but don't use them and I should. I need to get more of different sizes and we don't have a vacuum with a hose either. I think you need one of those to suck all the air out to flatten em don't you?

So,if you use bags that compress with a vacuum cleaner to save room when you leave home, how do you compress them when your ready to return?Princess Susi wrote:Those bags are awesome, Pirate. Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

That is a VERY good question! I just pack like everyone else. I guess you could ship home the stinky clothes!
