Radio Things

Post by mahaihai » Mon Jun 30, 2003 12:00 am

As a lead the hardest thing i have to do is remember proper radio etiqutte and 10 code. So one day i was doing grad nite and i had to call control to tell them that on of the grads was drunk me thinking i am going to be all coy about it try this on the radio

ME: Control, Esplanade 1
Control: Control
ME: Can you please have a nurse 10-87 east info for a 5150
Control: Esplanade 1, is that a nurse for a 5150 guest
ME: 10-4 a nurse for a 5150
My Manager: Control be advised i believe the nurse is for a drunk guest
Control: 10-4 medic 1 is in route

They then went through the normal questions, blood gore etc. Later that night my manager comes to me with a list of 10 code and radio codes and tells me next time to think before i speak! OOPS
:D

Bugs Bunny or some other Warner Brothers character in the park (Looney Toons).

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"

"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."

"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

hmmm hehe an inventory stuck in the elevator lol when I see you next I'm laughing so hard... anyway, that elevator is fine, it goes kidna slow at times though. Worst radio incident for me was that whole pick up line thing with a certain other cast member that wanted me to call him so he could use it as a pick up line... yea that was sad...

Its a shame I'm going to have to destroy you...

Tabacco, in police code 5150 means "insane" or crazy, the elevator doesn't go all the way up, etc...

I thought the looney toon reference would have been a clue, but I guess I was wrong.

Old hat, but still...I always enjoyed being in the men's room and answering calls regarding my 10-20 with a loud flush of the toilet. Eventually this became SOP in Show Services for anyone with a radio.
