Wow, that sounds like a good story in the making.....

Re: Yes, February, there really is a Tinkerbell
Well let me tell you. . .
I started planning this trip in January. My health, well, stinks to put it politely- even though I am grateful daily that I am in as good shape as I am.
At the ripe old age of 36 I'm a stroke survivor, I have degenerative disc disease (you knew I was a degenerate LOL) and a host of other medical problems- my husband has had to deal with in our nine years of marriage more than many men have to live through with their mate in a lifetime. he is my hero. He pushes my wheelchair in the parks because I can't do the walking even with my crutch- and I can't drive an ECV anymore because if I did, I would either run people over or I would park it at the bottom of the World Showcase Lagoon and be asked never to return to the happiest place on Earth.
We had the idea for this trip since it was just the two of us- that we would stay at a moderate- try the busses, etc etc. Then plan a big trip next year for our 10th anniversary.
Well, then a few weeks ago, my vision- which was already bad, took a turn for the worse suddenly.
Normally, it would be no big thing to fix what is wrong with my eyes- PSC cataracts. They just pop in a new lens. only, my eyes are not 'normal' (you all knew I wasn't normal!)
We have to wait until mid-may to see a specialist and surgeon to see if they can hazard an attempt to fix my left eye- which is now only seeing light and movement. No focus at all. My right eye has a one of the darn things in it too- and it will get worse.
They had originally estimated ten years until they would severely effect my vision and were hoping that by then, the technology would have improved to the point where they could be certain of the outcome with the structural abnormalities (you knew i was abnormal!) in my eyes. That was three years ago. But as it stands now, right now we are in a holding pattern, waiting.
Well, we decided that we wanted to take the big trip this year- instead of next, because realistically, I don't know how well I'll be able to see next year. We wanted to switch resorts, but were having no luck.
our Fairy made my dream come true. This is the honeymoon we didn't have-our first trip away in seven years alone- and the 30th b-day trip of my DH's dreams.
CM's totally, completely and utterly rule. I've been crying happy tears all evening.
It's better than Christmas morning :)

Congratulations on the Tinkerbell business. Was it an upgrade, or just a really good deal? See, you have to deal with all your medical problems, but there are fairies hiding out there everywhere just waiting for the opportunity to make your life better. You just have to believe in fairy dust - and we all know YOU DO!
Hugs to you and your DH.

WOW, that is great! And re-affirms what I believe, that the CM's at WDW and DLR are the best!
How can anyone NOT like the magic they create when the reach out like that?

Re: Yes, February, there really is a Tinkerbell
It wasn't an upgrade- though I have had that happen to me on past trips in an astonishing fashion - but this time getting the room at this late date was a miracle in and of itself the whole resort (all of WDW not just a couple resorts) is booked solid this weekend!
I count my blessings every day because I know there are so many people who don't have the abilities physically that I still do- and I am so grateful for what I have. What I deal with- it's nothing compared with what a lot of people are going through/have gone through!
Big hugs to you Wazzup, have missed ya!
And yes, Pirate, I totally agree that CM's RULE "the WORLD!" (pun intended!)!

Have a happy, happy trip, Bru! I am so glad the fairies knocked one out of the Park for you! Have a wonderful and romantic time. Your hubby sounds like mine with all our various maladies. They are truly knights in shining armor and come to our rescue everytime! There are wonderful Princes out there and I believe we were led to them on purpose! We both are the luckiest women on earth! :)
Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

Wow, it sounds like you've really got some magic in the making! You must be so excited.
CMs do indeed rule. I had a circumstance that was nowhere near as dramatic as yours but it involved getting a last-minute room. We had come off a cruise and decided to stay another day at WDW, so hubby changed our plane tickets while I called CRO from the airport. Nothing was available! Little did I know it was some sort of special event weekend. Since the plane tickets were already changed, we just went to Dixie Landings since it's a big hotel, praying something would come up. A wonderful, wonderful CM managed to find us a room at the inn.
Definitely give a full trip report when you get back!
