Mickey's got a gun?
Re: Mickey's got a gun?
No limit if you shoot 'em South Park style. Remember, this is FL where we have expaned castle doctrine, so if you feel "threatened" (interpret that word to your liking), you have [no] duty to retreat. Just do like Ned and Jimbo and yell, "(S)he's coming right at us!" (even if they're not) and blast away.
"If you are a dee, please don't marry a dee, 'cause then your kids will be dee dee dee." ....Carlos Mencia
"It's the difference between champagne and carbonated pee!" ....Homer Simpson

Argh, can't edit my last post, but I meant you have NO duty to retreat.
Expanded Castle Doctrine...really, that's kind of a good Disneyesque name for the law. I can just see Cindy and the Prince running out with an Uzi: "We're sick and tired of all you tourists gaping around our house and eating in our banquet hall!" Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat

In the interest of guest accomadation, might I suggest a silenced version of a MP5:Syndrome wrote:Argh, can't edit my last post, but I meant you have NO duty to retreat.

They work really great, no muzzle climb, and are easy to clean! Plus this variant dosn't require the use of sub-sonic ammo like some other silenced varients.

Wire the palm of the gloves with bare wires (insulated to the inside) attached to a hidden cattle prod that can be activated without using hands. An unruly SG would get a hand shake that would put a "joy buzzer" to shame. And if they persist, a nice long "hug" could have a "powerful" result. :D:dancinghomer wrote:I not sure which is scarier, the fact that if it wasn't for some small stipulations that Mickey could be packing heat, or the fact that SGs would still try to weasel their way into character lines after the attendants have closed them knowing the character could be packing heat.
Although, "Mickey pulled a gun on me and ruined my vacation" wouldn't come too far after.

Ummm, they already market these as "taser gloves" mostly for up close and personal crowd control. (Hi howya doing! ZAP!!!)Randy B wrote:Wire the palm of the gloves with bare wires (insulated to the inside) attached to a hidden cattle prod that can be activated without using hands. "must have been some static buildup from the fur." :D:

Disney won't even allow OPD to bring guns on property. Well, I should say into the resorts or parks. They have to relinquish their weapons at security booth.

Well, part of the reason for that is that the Orlando Police Department is out of their jurisdiction at WDW. It's not in the city of Orlando.PapaMouse wrote:Disney won't even allow OPD to bring guns on property. Well, I should say into the resorts or parks. Orange County Sheriffs Deputies, on the other hand, are carrying on property and in the parks daily. It *is* their jurisdiction, and once in a while we're *really* glad to have them around!
And they don't check their weapons at the security booth any more. We've now installed a rack of gun lockers at each park so they can lock em up themselves.

Re: Mickey's got a gun?
I find it interesting that we provide lockers so guests can bring a gun all the way up to barely fifty feet from park entrances, but Cast should have to leave them in their cars. I mean, the distance that some CM's have to walk, on stage or sometimes through some... interesting areas (hey, I don't know what kind of people live at Buena Vista Place... I know I make too much to live there) with no one watching at times, even I would rather have a gun on me, and some of you know how big I am. I certainly wouldn't want my wife to work a long shift that ends very late in the night or early morning at MK, walking to a car that's all the way back by Cast Connection... it's too easily accessible to the outside world. And after I had what was probably a Cast Member (I am using the term loosely in this case) steal something from my car at the Yacht Club lot, forgive me if I am overly wary of everyone... other CM's included.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
