I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Ug, those flame wars are so ridiculous. Which is why I love being able to speak my mind and not be ridiculed for it here.
For Narnia! And for Aslan!

What I like about SGT, besides what's already been said, is that when a troll drops in, we can take care of them quickly. Over on Monster.com, there's a recurring troll with the handle of TheColSmuckers. We usually only see him during school vacations, because he's a kid with too much time on his hands. And he chooses to waste it by making attacks against others on the boards, especially in the older workers forum. I've put him on Ignore, and asked the admins to ban him, but they aren't really inclined to do so.
Of course, Monster isn't all that well-run; you put your resume' in there, and you either get spammed or they keep sending you jobs that don't even come close to matching what's on your resume'. Just goes to show bigger is not better. On top of it, if you contact their help/contact crew, they're obviously all in India, and thus are taking jobs away from Americans who desperately need them. Pretty strange for an outfit that says they're trying to help people in America get jobs.

Re: Stupid People from Board X
how about this one...someone told me elyse and i were mentioned on a board x and so i went to take a look...and we were mentioned...
people were blasting us for giving away bubbles...they wanted to know how we could even get them into the park when they couldn't get juice in for their kids (i suspect they were trying to get in whole picnic lunches
)...i did sign up so i could post there to explain the situation, but was blasted even more...
there were a few people there who knew us and kind of came to the rescue, but they were few and the "firing squad" let us have it...i haven't been back there since...and it's a rather large board...
i think i'll stay here where people are friendlier :D:

I've never tried it, Grumpy. But as a 2 year veteran of Baskin Robins.. I'd have to go with Daiquiri Ice as an alternative. In the description it says it is flavored with RUM. Have you tried it?
I suspect it is imitation rum, however. BR has their own brand of SG's, one of which berated me on one occasion for giving a taster of Daiquiri Ice to a child as "That is an alcoholic flavor and that child is clearly under age!"
It was a wonderful moment as it inspired my April Fool's prank for that year. Carding anyone who asked for a scoop of Daiquiri Ice.

"How much are the mugs? Well the 13 large signs at eye level all say the mugs are $12.99.. so I'm gonna go with that."

Too funny, I guess the SG didn't really THINK about it!Tara_Lee3 wrote:I've never tried it, Grumpy. But as a 2 year veteran of Baskin Robins.. I'd have to go with Daiquiri Ice as an alternative. In the description it says it is flavored with RUM. Have you tried it?
