Working Pirates and Princesses Parties makes for a long night!

Post by Shorty82 » Mon Apr 07, 2008 12:47 am

The shops were all dead tonight, nobody was buying anything. It didn't help that the 8:00 report from the front entrance said there were only 4,000 people in the park. The MK can hold probably 20 times that so there was almost nobody there. The rain drove a lot of people away from the party. There was a steady stream of people heading towards the gates, especially after the fireworks.

Being so slow made for a very long night. It doesn't help that there were a lot of people working in my area so stocking got done pretty quickly leaving not much to do. We all left earlier than scheduled except for a few people. The manager, coordinator, and the two money counters were still there when I left and I understand two CMs from my area were still working over in Expo Hall.

I will never again pick up extra hours at a P&P Party. I didn't even realize I would be working a party until earlier today. I do want to go to one sometime as a guest though. What little I saw of the parade looked neat and I would love to be able to watch the fireworks (instead of just hear them going off all around).

Oh, yeah. The old party line phone that was in what is now Crystal Arts is back. It is in the Chapeau and working.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

Guess what, Studios was open for EMH and was dead too!

I went from downtown and floated to Studios and made 2 runs. One a hour and a half after I got there and one at go home time. I was at Studios for 4 hours.

Yes folks, I worked for about 1 hour and sat in the stripes for 3 hours.

Slow nights suck!!! Especially at the Land. You can only hear that "Welcome to Living With The Land..." Spiel so many times before you want to scream. I don't know why they keep us open for EMH. Honestly like 25 people ride and everyone else does Soarin'. Very strange...

I agree, slow nights are horrible. That's why I hated working Grad Nites my first CP. They didn't want to shop, so the shop was dead. We were basically walking around, and listening to the music outside.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

It is a filler to make the EMH seem full of stuff. People would say "Oh it has 3 attractions open, sigh, skip that" but when they see 15 attractions open they will trampede the park and hit the big ones first then the lesser ones if they have time. It is psychology.

People want 200 options even if they can use only 38. They want 31 flavours even if they only like vanilla and mocha. Disney is playing head games with the SGs lol
