Randy B wrote:I can understand 102 and 105. I bet they were said with a Brit accent. A Chemist is a drug store. They were probably looking for aspirin or sunscreen, but if not they may have been needing a pharmacist near property.

A Bubbler is a drinking fountain.

So both those questions may actually make sense if you can translate English into English. :D:

Randy
A drinking fountain is a bubbler here in the Boston area, too. At least as said by some locals.
I grew up in Massachusetts from age 4, and I call it a water fountain. But then again my parents are from CT and PA.

Welcome! Some of the questions are stupid but others are evidently from people who don't know a lot about WDW or are from other countries.
scrappindisneygirl wrote:1) Where can I get a sewn patch from the Reedy Creek Fire Department?
Some people collect patches. I can see someone wanting one from Reedy Creek.
3) Can you convert Canadian currency for me?
The guest is evidently Canadian and needs more American dollars. Guest Relations can convert the money.
5) Is this a penny?
Probably someone from another country who isn't used to handling American money.
12) Can I get my ears pierced at Downtown Disney?
Legit question though I have no idea about the answer.
15) Is this 2 dollars?
Again, probably someone from another country who isn't used to handling American money.
23) Is this the entrance of #6?
Okay... No idea what #6 is.
24) Can I plug my electronic wheelchair in here?
The guy's battery is probably going dead and he doesn't want to wind up stuck somewhere.
43) Where can Mickey be updated?
I'm thinking Pal Mickey is what they mean.
46) Have you seen the Little Einsteins?
Looking for the characters from that show I would think.
68) Is DVC the disabled vehicle center?
LOL!
70) Do you have a set of jumper cables here?
What does this look like, a tow truck?
79) Where can I get 14K jewelry?
Legit question. Uptown Jewelers in the MK sells 14K gold jewelery.
102) Where is the closest chemist?
Looking for a pharmacy probably.
113) Are you a map, please?
Probably someone with little understanding of English asking for a map.

Yeah, my friend is a volunteer firefighter and while he was on a CP he went to the fire station near DTD and asked them. They gave him a few, but I don't know if it was just because he was a firefighter too.

Wow. Just... wow.
scrappindisneygirl wrote:36) Can I take a picture with you because the state you are from begins with the letter 'M'?
Scavenger hunt, perhaps?
scrappindisneygirl wrote:37) If I was being picked up in a van by the Food Network, where would they get me?
I'd really like to know that, too!
scrappindisneygirl wrote:41) If I were an ATM, where would I be?
My family and I use this formulation all the time at home. It started as a joke, but we've done it so much that it's just the way we ask about the location of things now. I bet it is a shock if you're not used to hearing it phrased that way.
scrappindisneygirl wrote:47) Do you have any ammunition?
Must be from Texas. :D:
scrappindisneygirl wrote:101) I am sweating in places I don't want to sweat. What can I do about that?
Um... ew.
scrappindisneygirl wrote:130) We have a reservation for the Pony Express. Where do we go?
According to Wikipedia, to the year 1860.

That's a condition known as hyperhidrosis. It's caused by a high metabolism rate. The thyroid gland is usually responsible for it.

Excessive sweating can be cured by a thoracic surgery procedure known as endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy. This procedure interrupts the transmission of nerve signals between the spinal column and sweat glands in the affected area. An unwelcomed side effect may result in unwanted increased sweating from other areas of the body—called "compensatory sweating."

Botox can also be used as a temporary nerve block.

Head to the Orlando International Airport and book a flight to Los Angeles. Then get on the 5 Freeway and take the Beach Boulevard exit and head to Knott's Berry Farm. Pony Express is the new roller coaster. Of course,it doesn't open until Memorial Day weekend (if we're lucky!)

Then again, maybe the guest wanted to go horseback riding at the Fort Wilderness Campground. A lot of fun and a great break from the madness of the parks.
