Re: Cheerleaders Invading Again?
A fun flash came into my head. Seeing the cheer leaders wearing ice hockey equipment when doing their stumbling stunts. One summerslt can keep them on the backs for a long time. :D:
Re: Cheerleaders Invading Again?
Sudden flash back to a scene from "Son of the Absent Minded Professor" (sequel of the original movie). The scene with the football team doing a pyramid to try to catch the floating player who is in an inflated suit full of "flubber gas". :D:Mayonnaise wrote:I get that... I was just saying I think they're in the class of organized sports where it's the venue and not the players that are meant to be padded... I mean... you never saw a gymnast in a helmet and padds... didja? :p:
Now that's an interesting mental picture... *Imagines gymnasts wrapped up like the Michelin man.. which leads to mental pictures of Michelin cheerleaders trying to form a pyramid and failing miserably.*

My Disney DVD collection goes back to WAY before that. Heck my DVD collection has several offerings going back to the 1940s (with a few samples even earlier).GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:WOW, And I thought that I knew a lot of older movies!!!
You should see my DVD wish list on Amazon. It covers everything from the Thin Man boxed set to National Treasure 2 (and TONS between).
I am going to have to build a new DVD storage cabinet fairly soon since the 60' of shelf space in the current one has several shelves stacked two boxes deep (one at the back of the shelf and one at the front of the shelf (extending past the front of the shelf) and sometimes a few laying across the top.

You're right. My memory is overtaxed tonight (public radio pledge drive is HE I_ I_ from the operations viewpoint) and I am also getting a ton of phone calls from parents and other concerned persons concerning my job and home situations, and none of them will SHUT UP when I am already under Pledge stress.   :twisted:Mayonnaise wrote:I think you mean "Son of Flubber."

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

How about this idea for getting rid of annoying cheerleaders: Tying them up and tossing them into World Showcase Lagoon. :D:
For Narnia! And for Aslan!
