Re: Shiny
Good for you, I never had any doubts. At least you got yours in a timely manner. I waited over a month to get mine.
It finally caught up to me at Studios. I could not wait to put it on my name tag.
(now if only I can figure out a way not to lose my name tag)

That's why he got is pin on time - they were afraid of what he'd "take out" if they were late giving him his pin.mechurchlady wrote:congratulations hugs and we all knew you could do it. Though you did take out a bunny and a deer.
Hey BW - CONGRATS! Seems like it was just a few days ago I was reading the report on your cross-country trip. Glad you are still having fun and are happy you made the decision to move.

Nah, keep it until then. I won't accept it except in person.CMGUY89 wrote:BTWs I still have your nametag... Do you want me to send it back or just bring it back in 5 weeks?
I wear it with great pride. Many have come and gone already in the time I've been here. Some couldn't handle it, some discovered they were in the wrong business, some were kicked out. I've stayed, I've liked it and like it. I see the pin as a commemoration of "Thank you, may I please have another." :D: And I would like another, and another, and another. And many more. I am in a place that was designed with the idea of people like me working there. It's the first time I've been able to say that.glendalais wrote:Congratulations! Wear it with pride :D: , and may it just be the first of many year pins :) .
And the Cast Members here that I have met so far all work to keep them Magical and Happy. I hope they never succeed in changing that.glendalais wrote:I just had to point this out, since people often mix the two up. The Disneyland Resort is the "Happiest Place on Earth". Walt Disney World is the "Most Magical Place on Earth". Though with the new "DisneyParks - Where Dreams Come True", that might be changing, lol :D: .
And that is one of the reasons I am getting a new pin to wear and keeping this pin safe.Cranbiz wrote:(now if only I can figure out a way not to lose my name tag)
Crap, someone was keeping score. Now I am in a job where it is part of the job description to not hit the animals, though I hope it's not a written rule anywhere. If it is, I'm afraid I'll have to cry.mechurchlady wrote:congratulations hugs and we all knew you could do it. Though you did take out a bunny and a deer.
Helps that my top speed in animal areas is 8 mph.
It seems just yesterday that I was writing that report. And I do love it here.Whazzup wrote:Seems like it was just a few days ago I was reading the report on your cross-country trip. Glad you are still having fun and are happy you made the decision to move.
I plan on visiting many job descriptions before I settle down... assuming I ever do... You will need to visit repeatedly to see me in all my roles. But now that I am working Safari, I'll be able to pick up shifts in the neatest attraction at Disney World, and in my mind, on the planet. You haven't lived until you've come around the corner, and there's Willy trumpeting.
I love how many things there are to do here, and all of them in some way or another are a part of making magic for our guests.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Very, Very Cool BW!glendalais wrote:Congratulations! Wear it with pride :D: , and may it just be the first of many year pins :) .(on a side note, you're lucky, here at the DLR, I've heard of cases of management taking two years to get CMs their 1-year pin).

Re: Shiny
I remember the days when management would get upset if we were going faster than 5 in an animal area. (Luckily, the biggest supporter of the ultra-fast show times is no longer in the area, and with the influx of managers that used to be safari drivers, hopefully things will go back to the way they were)Big Wallaby wrote: Helps that my top speed in animal areas is 8 mph.
Trumpeting, eh? Is that what they call it now?You haven't lived until you've come around the corner, and there's Willy trumpeting.

In honour of BW's accomplishment, I did some digging around and found the following threads for everyone to remenisce on/about.
