Re: SG drivers
There was a funny bit in the (now defunct) Disney Magazine about Celebration. In the article some homeowners talked about tourist wandering into their house and them telling them to leave to witch the tourist replied "oh, we'll be done in a few minutes" an the owners (thankfully) replied "no, this is our home, you'll be leaving now..".
The fact that this was printed in an official Disney publication is kind of telling.

Did they think it was a Disney Attraction?

Re: SG drivers
I remember driving out of MK after our first overnight rehearsal for CTS. We were very tired, but apparently not as tired as the taxi driver ahead of us. We were in the three lane section getting ready to pass the re-entry to MK. I was in the left lane attempting to pass the cab who was driving below the speed limit and weaving about when he slid across all three lanes to go into the re-entry. We were literally a couple of inches from hitting eachother, and would have had I braked even a split second later. My passenger had already gotten the cab number because of his erratic driving, and we wasted no time calling him in. I don't know if he was drunk or just really tired, but either way, he should not have been on the road!

(The Cliff Notes version is that we were kidnapped by a crowd of drunks who pulled up to our house in an electric train, wearing aluminum foil beanies).

They do now!!GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:No one locks their doors?
Actually I lock mine not so much out of fear of the tourists as of our next door neighbor. She seems like a sweet old lady till she gets drunk on port wine. Then she comes pounding on the back door and you'd better watch out!

Our neighbor across the street hasn't locked his in years. I don't think he knows where the keys are anyway.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:No one locks their doors?
We've got one of those up the hill. She sits on her deck and screams until she passes out.Syndrome wrote:She seems like a sweet old lady till she gets drunk on port wine. Then she comes pounding on the back door and you'd better watch out!

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.
