Crab Shack is fun! We have a couple here in Denver and they are quite the experience. Like a theme restaurant!

We were at Uno's Chicago Grill today here in Northwest Denver. I noticed right up front in a little wooden bracket they had Gluten Free menus. It was cool. I have not seen that before in any restaurant. Uno's is a chain restaurant, food is actually very good! I had sirloin tips for lunch and they were delish! I don't know if there are any Uno's Restaurants in California.

I got an email from my friend today. If we can work out the date she can go, we will make the dinner meet! I will let you know for sure in a few days.
It will be great to meet you out here. There is a Pizzeria Uno in San Diego but I don't think it's the same thing.

Ok road trip to San Diego

http://www.unos.com/kiosk/nutritionUnos.html

There is one in San Diego, the main problem is the menu is very limited. House Salad bring my own dressing, a few kinds of meat and a sundae.. Almost every dish has a bit of soy in it. I would survive so if you want that then provide me with transportation, lol.

Looks great, but road trip :driver: with these gas prices? I'm sure you are kidding. The only poster who could go would be The G P. :piratedan Friars Road Uno's would be closest from O C. All should meet in Anaheim & take AMTRAK down to S D. Much cheaper & quicker! You could take good old trolley car to Unos. Fares are very low. Would be a SGT Trip Spring Fling Thing. ;)

We could do El Matate in Santa Ana if not too far for everyone. I didnt see a menu but most hispanic food is safe for me to eat.

Mom has to eat at 6 pm so no SD trip for me unless she goes then dinner at 6 and then I would need a hotel for the night. Trade her for some brats, please.

Must be a menu around here someplace. ;) El Metate serves Mexican food - not Hispanic. How funny this will be when I bring the topic up at our Easter gathering. :) I know what you meant mech.

Purpie and I are still waiting for her schedule before we commit for a specific date. I suspect that, if she gets her ADO, her days off that week will be Thursday (grocery shopping and Cuddlebug day, and therefore out for any sort of meet,) and Saturday (in which case, us being at the meet would depend on her having day shifts on Friday or Sunday, or us being back from SD in time on Saturday.)

Hispanic means latin america including Mexican, Colombian, and Peruvian. We will have to wait to see what is up.

I love El Metate's calendars! I'm a Spanish teacher and I hang them in my classroom!

Well, I KNOW the meaning of Hispanic! The owner of El Metate Restaurants simply would NEVER use the term Hispanic. Tis not in her vocabulary. :)
