Towel Animals
Towel Animals
First of all-thanks to Mousekeeping for creating these wonderful creatures!
Should guests take them home? I have never taken the ones left in our rooms, but know others that have. Just wondering...

Stealing towels from a hotel -- in whatever shape -- definitely qualifies as a Stupid Guest Trick.acourtwdw wrote:First of all-thanks to Mousekeeping for creating these wonderful creatures!

On the other hand, studying how it was made and taking notes so you can recreate it in your own Disney themed bathroom at home is acceptable (maybe a bit obsessive, but acceptable). :D:Zazu wrote:Stealing towels from a hotel -- in whatever shape -- definitely qualifies as a Stupid Guest Trick.

Re: Towel Animals
there are an amazing number of sites that show you how!
Plus I saw a book on how to make them, when I went to barnes and Nobel a week or so ago!!
(I did read an amazing SG thread on another board, where some people felt cheated out of their "magic" because they didn't get any at their Disney resort!! Or one lady that got one one night, and wanted one EVERY night!)

Actually sweeties ;) , we are "Going to Disneyland" at the beginning of April and staying at the Disneyland Hotel again. Last trip Ralph discovered a sheet of paper at the concierge desk that listed many fun activities for kids and for adults. They offer a Tuesday morning class on Animal Towel Making. We are going to go to that! Ralph's idea really. uh huh, uh huh! But I think it sounds like fun.DisneyMom wrote:I think that's why Susi is on this thread right now! ;)
That way whenever I visit anyone, I will bring along a pocketful of round colored stickers and ribbon and twist all their towels in their bathroom into creature masterpieces!
Could be a fun pastime, when we go out to dinner, run around the restaurant making animals out of all the napkins so all the diners get a little surprise...heeheehee :D:
Just wait til I come to YOUR house! All your towels, washclothes, napkins, sheets, blankets and maybe even underwear will be giraffes, horsies and giant puppies!

Never, ever leave Susi alone with your linen!

Hmm we were told twice by CMs we could take them on our last trip. My 1 year old daughter was so excited to see a new one almost every day. Not expected but it was a nice touch. We've never taken them but could see how some guest would if told this as well.Zazu wrote:Stealing towels from a hotel -- in whatever shape -- definitely qualifies as a Stupid Guest Trick.

If they were the towels, wouldn't you need to use them??SCMT wrote:Hmm we were told twice by CMs we could take them on our last trip. Unless of course....
