But remember, they not only control the press there, they own it. I get the impression that the parks will mostly target people from the mideast as customers, I wouldn't even be suprised when it opens, that they have seperate days for men, and then women and children! Their "house" their rules!

Here's some interesting information about visiting Dubai:

"The main reason for guests to be in a theme park is to give the employees someone to laugh at after work!"

Yeah, think I'll have to pass on going there for fun. I will stick to DLR or WDW for theme parks, and Alaska and/or Canada for the outdoors!

That being said, I won't be submitting a job application.
Yeah I have seen this on a special on TV! Amazing how much money they have for such things in a desert! Those crazy arabs! What will they think of next? Sand swimming? LOL!

I am right with Churchy! Let's go ride the dog fart coaster and NOT be persecuted for being, GASP! women!!!!!!!

Oh and Discovery Cove in Florida is one of the World's best Parks! We went in 2006 and will be going back again. I loved it. We are going to do the Epcot Dolphins in Depth Tour this next trip and then do Discovery Cove again the trip after. If you have never been, it is awesome!

There are two different admissions, one for those who want to do the Dolphin experience and another for those who just want to enjoy the park. You get all day there and they only allow a certain number of people in per day so it is not crowded. You get lunch and snack food with your admission and you can go up to any snack bar all day long and get your drinks and snacks without paying extra (I know that is true for the Dolphin pkg, I do NOT know if it is included in the regular Park entry pkg.)

I LOVE that park. I will post some pics of our visit there and us with the dolphins when I can get them scanned. Out trip there was pre digicam for us. Now all our pics will be digital. I just have to scan thousands of pics that we took with our regular camera!!! I have the video of us swimming with the Dolphins as well. We had a grumpy dolphin that day! LOL! It was so cool! I want to do it at Atlantis Resort and in Hawaii too! Swimming with da fishes! :)

They would persecute me for being American, Hispanic, female and Christian. How about putting our money in places like China or America.

This site is interesting, "do's & don'ts" all I see is "Don'ts". Not really incouraging me to go visit. It really doesnt sound like Dubai is going to be American or European friendly at all, but no mind, we cant afford to go there anyway, we buy oil products they manufacture them so only they can afford to go. I like the humidity of Florida and S Cal anyway, forget that dry heat.
