Guests Ruining the Show
This is more sad than anything else.
I was working Guest Control at Flashback* this past week. It was at the very end of the night, and most of the people had gone home. Anyway, there was still a small group of people waiting for their rides back to the Grand Californian (they had purchased premium tickets that included a banquet dinner over there and a ride in the Main Street Vehicles over to the Hyperion Theatre inside DCA).
They were the very last group, and there was a small delay in the vehicles getting back to Hollywood Pictures Backlot. Anyway, the vehicles are starting to arrive, and...well, just read the conversation, and take note of the fact that there were a bunch of small kids present.
glendalais: And the Main Street Vehicles are finally back. We had some mechanical issues; but, thankfully, in addition to being a great actor and all-around good guy, Mickey's also a certified mechanic....
SG: C'mon now! We all know there's no such thing as Mickey!
Little Kids, glendalais: O_O
So, does anyone else have any stories of guests just plain ruining the magic?
*For those of you who don't know, "Flashback" is an annual theatrical/musical/comedy production put on by Disneyland Resort CMs. It's held after hours at the Hyperion Theatre in DCA, and the ticket sales benefit the Make a Wish Foundation

I hope somebody slapped that extra stupid guest for ruining the magic for anyone, especially children.
Mickey is as real as you or me.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

I saw him at the beach yesterday. Where have you seen Mickey?Shorty82 wrote:I hope somebody slapped that extra stupid guest for ruining the magic for anyone, especially children.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

He was at the bank I work at up here in Canada, in the back, watching the safe the money's kept in, this past week.
(There actually -is- a Mickey magnet on the safe, which I only noticed for the first time this week...totally fitting as I leave tomorrow!)

Mickey not real? What an idiot. He needs to have a set of mouse ears attached to his head. With an industrial stapler.

Mickey is as real as they get. He maskes more money every year than all of us combined. He stars in movies and shorts and I see him at the parks every visit. What a dumbass the SG was for a statement like that, and in front of kids. Mickey can do anything, I've seen him build a boat with a couple of friends even. To bad you cant slap someone like that.

Light travels faster than sound. Perhaps that is why people appear bright until they open their mouth.

I see him every morning when I get up (Mickey telephone) when I let the grumpy pups out (Mickey kitchen stuff) When I make coffee (Mickey cream/sugar set) and so on.
Mickey is more real that a SG, because Mickey and his friends can see beyone the end of their nose!
(said SG should have enjoyed his walk back!!, since Mickey couldn't possibly have provided him a ride)
