Re: The Official Planning Thread of the Bubble Ladies 2008 WDW Tour
I hate to hijack this from BW, but I know he's super busy right now. When I last spoke with BW, he figured he needed about 24 passes at least (depending on how many days he has off to go with them), and I know he was hoping for help with that from others on the board.
So it's just my guess, but I bet BW'll love you for your offer to help with that, and anyone else who's willing, too.

I prefer not to put them at the Home Suite Home anyway... I have many varied reasons.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Thank you, KidAtHeart. I hope BW will accept my offer and as soon as I know my work schedule for that week the Bubble Ladies are here (which will be next Wednesday), I will let him know it and we can figure it out. :c)
For Narnia! And for Aslan!

Re: The Official Planning Thread of the Bubble Ladies 2008 WDW Tour
Okay, finally I hear where y'all want to park them. Here's what I can do:
Disney's Pop Century Resort
Arrive 3/3/08
Depart 3/13/08
10 nights
Standard room
Disney's Magical Express to/from MCO
Total cost $816.80
I'll donate the first night's deposit of $80.32, so that leaves $736.48 for the rest of y'all.
Say the word (and PM me their mailing address) and I'll book this for them.

Disneyprincess – Thanks for the offer! If you want to PM me the days you’re off, as well as BW, that’d be great. The poor guy is swamped trying to get things put together for this, and I’ve been helping out. Up to you, though.
Any other CM’s willing to help out with Maingate passes? Unlike BW, I’m not above asking bluntly. Plllllleeeeeease? :D:
Zazu - The Ladies are actually flying out on 5:25 am on the 14th. Though they'll have to leave at like...3 am, they still will need somewhere for that night (Unless they're wanting to just wait by the pool or something that night, which I doubt).
We have 759$ in ‘The Fund’ (at my last calculation, according to what BW told me was coming plus what it says there is for donations on the Amazon site, after taking away the cost of the plane tickets). It sounds like, basically, we need to come up with another 50$ after your donation, to cover the extra night in the hotel.

And they are fine with paying their own food and beverage.
Could everyone who has donated either money or time do me a favor? Please send me an e-mail at [email protected] with the details as to what you've done or given? I just want to balance it with my records. I know of one donation at least that didn't make it to my hands, and part of it may be the fact of where I am staying.
Next time, I'm getting a PO Box.
Zazu, I would say go ahead and make the reservation, and I'll take care of that balance.

Wallaby, I sent you an email
Has anyone made any large group dining reservations? I know the standard SGT rule, "he who suggests it, makes the arrangements", and I'd be happy to try and get 1 event together, but if there's already plans in the works, I don't want to step on other folks' toes. (also, I'm not quite sure how many people we're looking at having, since I know there's others besides just Elyse and Elena that are visiting during that time frame)

I would like to know what plans are too. I wanted to do a few small meets, like maybe a Dole Whip one or everybody ride the safari at once kinda thing or a Kitchen Sink meet. Simple stuff where if you show, you show, if you dont, you dont kinda thing.
Can someone please elaborate what is going on. We need to know since this is only a week out time frame and not everyone has cell phones or has everyone elses phone numbers besides. When doing group things you GOTTA plan ahead.
What are the BLs' thots on meets? No sense wasting time setting up a meet if the BL's arent interested in that sort of thing . We need to get them on here and find out what they would like to do from them directly.
How many ppl are planning to be there during that time? (2 A and 1 C for us) What events/meets are already planned? What do the BL's like? What kind of tourists are they? Commando? Laid back rather stay at the resort folk? Semi-laid back? Physical needs of those coming at that time including the BL's? Questions need answered.
I dont mean to sound cranky or nosy but we personally planned our vacation around this and now we have no idea whether we will actually meet them or not. We are still coming down and would like to meet up but we need some definitive plans on what is going on which day since we will be off site with no way to contact anyone while we are there.
BTW...hey Rat, you little buddy is 5 now and has a teenage attitude LOL

Re: The Official Planning Thread of the Bubble Ladies 2008 WDW Tour
BW's at work, so I'll fill in answers as best I know them:
1) Yes! We want at least one big group meet for dinner! I think the original suggestion waaaaay back in the thread was for Boma. Rat, if you want to take on organizing this, that's great. The only night something is planned, for sure, is March 6, for the P&PP.
2) Vixen, do you have your list of small meets on the board here somewhere? And can you please PM me your schedule? I'm sort of taking care of getting at least a basic one done up for the BL's, so this way we can coordinate.
3) The BL's are VERY laid back. They enjoy rides, but, in their own words, they're there for the atmosphere! They have a few specific requests (They want to ride all the rides that are at DL and WDW to compare them, and they have been raving about Mission: Space, so that's a 'gotta do'). Having chatted with both of them, they're leaving the 'what to do' up to everyone else. They're fine either doing things with the group or on their own at times if they don't want to do the same things as the rest of us. They'd like to meet everyone, as they have their own little brand of magic for us all; they're just very, very nervous that they won't live up to our expectations (I've tried to reassure them but I'm not sure how successful I've been!).
4) As for who's planning to be there, that's another thing people could PM me (and also if you'd like to join everyone for dinner). That way I can let rat know for the dinner.
5) Now for the big one. The BL's themselves. They are both very, VERY cheery, outgoing ladies. They wear 'pixie dust' (fine glitter) to the parks EVERY day. They are mobile, but not completely so. BW has arranged for ECV's for them for the parks, and I've reassured them that they won't have stairs and so on to worry about like they do in DL on the entrances to -most- rides. Their touring style, from what I can gather, is very laid back but still very go go go. They're wanting to do things every day they can, and 'see it all', but they also want to stop and talk to CM's, hand out bottles and bottles and bottles of bubbles, and just generally handing out their own brand of magic. They do not plan to go back to the hotel in the afternoon to rest. Elyse made it VERY clear to me that they usually go and spend 12 to 15 hours in a day at DL and she doesn't see why that would change at WDW. It may change, but it's hard to tell ahead of time. The BL's are twins, and gemini to boot. Elyse is the more talkative of them, and as she has told me, has the 'mouth of a sailor'. Elena is a little more shy, but still a very happy, huggy person. Granted, I've gotten most of this from PM's (long PM's!) and phone calls. By the way, Mainstreeter, they've had amazing things to say about you!
The Ladies are VERY excited about this trip. They can't believe it's actually happening.

Re: The Official Planning Thread of the Bubble Ladies 2008 WDW Tour
I will do a seperate meet thread so it doesnt get lost in here. Unfortunatly we cant afford Boma (unless BW is paying..ehem ehem) What time do they get in and are they going straight to the parks on that day?. MK is a must do first thing for first timers. :D:
We are doing AK on Wednesday 5th so if you are setting up Boma for dinner Rat, how about that day since I was thinking about a safari run for sometime in the late morning. Gotta get my FP's for EE first thing...lol
Kid just look for the thread on our schedule and the mini meets. This way every one can see it too.
