Why not? Do you have the same attitude regarding women or het couples? Define "sucking face;" do you mean just a smooch, or behavior that would cause onlookers to yell "get a room"?cromag wrote:I for one am on the guest side. I dont like seeing 2 dudes sucking face anywhere in public.

Call me an old fart, but I don't like to see ANYBODY sucking face regardless of their genders. That is the reason for all the hotel rooms -- get one!Amphigorey wrote:Why not? Sorry! But if I'm overcome with affection for the man who has taken care of me and held my hand through almost a dozen years of health crisis, family drama, and other things that most people can't imagine dealing with in a lifetime let alone in a decade and I am moved to give him a smooch in the Magic Kingdom (or during Illuminations as the case may be) I'm gonna! There are plenty of other sights to see and we don't make a spectacle of ourselves so you should be able to avoid being scarred by it.
If you blink, you'd miss it anyway.

Ditto above
In todays world of hate, violence and failed families (of all types) I think the world needs to see a bit of affection now and then. Not down your throat/pants type things but warm loving supportive relationships (of all types) I STRONGLY feel teaches others the positives in life. Kids that SEE love know how to GIVE love to the folks around them.
OK off my crate of soap as well

I have no problems with little pecks in public but I don't want to see people making out. That isn't appropriate for anybody, regardless of gender.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

I have seen far worse in our local shopping mall than I've seen at any Disney park, ever- that goes for couples of either persuasion.
Planner. . .

Re: Ignorance to the Nth degree
Do you think that perhaps some of the PDA you are seeing is a result of it being "outlawed" in other places?
I was visiting a high school for work, and was talking with an assistant principle, she was explaining that PDA was absoutely not allowed in any form.
And of course most work places now are VERY aware of PDA and sexual harrassment! (I have had to document several, and interview the "players")
Plus we are seeing the stories of the little kids suspended for hugging their friends after school, etc.
I am just wondering if the "safe" feeling that you get at WDW is bringing this out in people?
Especially same sex couples that might be subject to ridacule, and possible physical violence elsewhere.

Re: Ignorance to the Nth degree
Pirate I can't speak to the same sex couple issue in your post but it's not a 'safety' thing with me- it's that I'm so happy at WDW- and so thankful to my DH for taking me there and pushing my sorry self around in the chair and all- that I just feel happy and grateful and that leads to the occasional spontaneous quick smooch. Sometimes, it's his idea! :D:I am just wondering if the "safe" feeling that you get at WDW is bringing this out in people?
I also just think that the parks, especially at night with all the lights, are one of the most romantic places on Earth. I've seen several marriage proposals happen at different spots on property and I remember as a child standing by the water in the then Shopping Village and looking at the lights twinkling in the trees and thinking that when I grew up I wanted to go there with my sweetheart and kiss him there.
I remember thinking that at the age of five or six! I told you- hopeless romantic.
