Shorty! Ack! I wanted to meet you tonight, but I came home and took an unexpected nap.

I am rather miffed. You came by, I was working a position not on a truck, and no one helped you. I mean, no one made the calls to have me put on a truck so you could ride along. I wish they had at least sent you my way, because I was at the departure dock, and I had a FastPass for you for just such an occasion. Gak!

Try for tomorrow?

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

BW, I'm sorry you missed meeting up with Shorty, and I hope he catches up with you today. I know he was really looking forward to meeting you.

Shorty, I'm glad you're not flying home today - we are in the middle of tornado warnings with a strong line of thunderstorms moving in from the west. They are telling people in Barrineau Park and Molino to take immediate shelter due to rotating winds and expected tornadoes, although none have touched down as of this moment. Tomorrow (Monday) should be nice weather for your return.
This is weird weather for this time of year, even in Florida.

Ack- Wazzup, batten down the hatches girlfriend and hang on tight!

I remember when I used to live in a mobile home (not in FL but still) every time we had weather, I used to think that I was going to end up doing a Dorothy in that thing. . .

Hope your trip is going very well Shorty and you get to meet up with Wallaby! And Wallaby, that new pic is just too cute for words. I love Giraffes too! Such big eyes. . .

He's going to call me after he gets off this afternoon. We talked last night on AIM about going to the Adventurers Club tonight.

Damn glad I'm down here and not home right now. I fly back Tuesday morning, not Monday.

I love the giraffe picture, too. Wallaby, did you take that shot?

Every day we check the live web cam at Nkorho Bush Lodge in Africa, where they have a camera installed in a tree next to a watering hole and they show 24-hour coverage of critters coming in to drink. We've seen elephants, water buffalo, rhinos, giraffes, wildebeests, impala and other deer, monkeys, baboons, lions, and once a cheetah. They are about 12 hours ahead of us, so best time for us on Central time is to check the camera early in the morning or late in the evening. Here's the link, and there's a 20-second introduction and then it goes to the web cam.

Oh, that's right, my bad. Hopefully the storms continue to go north and not south, or you might end up getting it after all.

Hope you get to go to the AC this evening - it's a fun place. Be sure to sit at the bar and order a Kungaloosh (as long as you don't have to drive afterwards). :D:

We met up for a while. We went to Adventurers Club during the open part for a bit and then to the Comedy Club for a show. After that he had to go home to get some sleep, he has to be at work early. It was cool to finally meet BW in person. I would love to ride with him on Safari but my last day is tomorrow and AK is blocked out for me. Just something to look forward to once I move down here.

I'll put together a trip report with pictures when I get back home. I'm off to bed now so I can be awake enough tomorrow to actually enjoy the MK and Epcot if I decide to go back.

Oh, tell me when you get a chance how you liked the Adventurer's club? I've never been and have always wanted to go- we don't drink but have heard so much about the show (and I have a fascination with all things adventure/aviator/and sillyness! LOL) and I'm thinking if we can squeeze it in that the upcoming trip with just DH and me will be the time to take the plunge.

We don't have the extras on our park pass so I don't know how much it'd cost us to go but I really, really need to see Hathaway Browne at some point in my life.

At least that's what my sister tells me LOL.

It was a blast! I only went to one show there with Bryan when the club was still pretty much completely open, they didn't even check our tickets or IDs at the door that time. I did go back later for a good while. I am now a member of the Adventurer's Club and was picked on for a bit by the cast during the induction ceremony. You don't have to drink while there, the only thing I had all night around Pleasure Island is a Coke during one of the shows at the AC.

The normal club tickets won't get you into the AC or the Comedy Club. you have to buy the all clubs ticket and that is something like $21.00. Go with one of our WDW CMs, they can get guests a discount on the tickets.

I fly back home tomorrow morning. Maybe in the afternoon I'll start working on my trip report and upload my pictures.
