Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

When the Alice In Wonderland floats went by where I was walking heading back to the rear of Cocina Cucamonga in DCA... Suddenly I got a "WHOMMM" and a lit up snail turning to see me. I waved then yelled for the bee behind him to stop and then told the snail to hurry and catch up to the caterpillar so he wouldn't get in trouble. If anyone knows whomever was driving said snail, Thanks for the magical moment... I will also be making a comment later today at City Hall in Disneyland. It's my birthday...February 9th.
Too cool! I love the snails!

Happy Birthday, Purpura!

Randy B wrote:No. I built this trailer. I started with a bed frame. Then I welded up and bolted on an axle with heavy leaf springs. Bolted on a welded trailer tongue. Built a plywood and 2x4 box on top. A little bit of wiring and a couple lights, and I have a homemade "utility" trailer. I just replace the outside plywood skin every few years. It seams that I have to run through at least one driving rain storm every time I take the trailer out so the plywood skin only lasts a couple years. But since the entire skin is screwed on, it's easy to replace and spray paint silver.

Use some marine paint (it is expensive) and silicon the seams. You'll never have to replace the plywood.

That is what I wondering if there wasnt something to waterproof it with so you wouldnt' have to keep redoing it. I would love to have one of these too so we dont have to load up the Exploder...hem..I mean Explorer and would be able to put down the back and sleep in it.

Whazzup wrote:Oh yeah? Try going on a Disney cruise - you will see multitudes of red (and other color) Mickey luggage in the baggage area! Everyone wants to use Mickey luggage when they are going to WDW or DCL, I guess. We have to attach LGMHPC (Lime Green Mickey Head Paint Chips) or some other identifying object to our red Mickey luggage in order to find it.
I have not used them yet to go east to WDW and we have not **gasp** been on a Disney cruise yet! We will get there. I have always used them for DL trips and have not had any problem spotting them at all. I will take heed and may have to dress them up a bit for our WDW trip in May with fabric paint, doing Disney designs of course! :D:

The South Africans are a very direct culture, and our driver said, "That's some really ugly luggage you have there. I'd never buy anything that looked like that."

"Did you have any trouble finding it among all the black bags?" I asked.

After a half-second's pause, he replied, "That's some really distinctive luggage you have there. I need to buy some that stands out like that."
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this post! This is one of my Top 5 favorite posts here now. BTW, MOST of my favorite posts come from Zazu...He is one smart and funny bird! :zazu:

Oh - it's Home Depot for the LGMHPCs, not Lowe's. However, some Home Depots have caught on to the fact that their LGMHPCs are disappearing at a high rate, so you have to be sneaky if you take more than one or two. ;)
I know about those from Board X. That is how they all recognize each other. It is a cool idea and I have some Lime Green Mickeys that someone posted on the board and just copied it. You don't even have to go to Home Depot anymore. They have one posted and you can print it out on photo paper. Do they make the Mickey head Paint Chips in other colors as well? I would use another color to differentiate mine from all the other LGMHPC on the luggage on the carousel.
My dark forest green tumi luggage is not very common either. At least I have not seen but a couple very large refrigerator sized dark green bags on the carousels when I went to look for mine. I may have to use that luggage when we go in May. Except that is it is HUGE and it always ends up weighing more than 50 lbs. But I HATE taking two suitcases and one carry on and my personal backpack. It is just too much luggage, along with Ralph's one suitcase and carry on and personal man purse! ;) HaHaHaHaHa...Ooooh he is going to be so mad at me for that one......

Yes they do. There are Mickey Head Paint Chips in all the colors Disney paint comes in, which is a LOT.

Thanks, Shorty! I prefer aqua and turquoise, the colors of the sea, myself! :D:
Have to go look for some of those today at Home Depot. Though now they may be putting them behind the counter, since everyone snatches em up! heeheehee

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Gotta love homemade wine. :D: And the friends that supply us with it. We have had this huge bottle for like ever and I was coughing and had that horrible tickle in your throat that wont go away so I thot a glass of this was in order. Must say it works reallllllly well, havent coughed once since I took a few sips. Stuff is potent , good, but potent.
