On that one, it took me until about a year ago to go to the dark side. I still like film for some (read: many) applications. But the convenience of the digital sadly wins out much of the time.MonorailCoPilot wrote:What can I say? I like the way prints look made from real film . . .there's a warmth to them. . . *giggle*

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

With my meager photography skills, I could never learn on film. I also like how forgiving digital is, especially since I started shooting raw.Big Wallaby wrote:On that one, it took me until about a year ago to go to the dark side. Great story, MCP, *sniff* so sadly sweet. You will always have that memory to cherish and a wonderful story to share.

Thanks Wazzup!
I just remembered exactly when it was during the song that I lost it.
It was just before the line "No matter how your heart is grieving." was coming up.
I just completely came unglued.
Someday I'll tell you guys the story of my experience at DTD that happened on the trip that was 10 days after Grandma passed.
We'll all need kleenex for that one.
hugs

Now there you have my secret. I never, ever shoot in JPG. It's so much easier to just add a little too much exposure in the camera, knowing I can always fix it later. I love RAW.ktulu wrote:I also like how forgiving digital is, especially since I started shooting raw.

One of the main reasons I went digital was the fact that my passion for "darkroom" work is much easier when I don't hane to have a darkroom to do it in. In fact I enjoyed doing a lot of darkroom work sitting in may campsite at WDW last Oct. :D:Big Wallaby wrote:On that one, it took me until about a year ago to go to the dark side. Of course the fact that I never have to pay for film or processing ever again shure didn't hurt.
