Okay, so we are counting down til Tuesday morning when we hop aboard a Frontier Airline's plane and head to the Magic! We have CONFIRMED reservations at Club 33 for lunch on my 29th birthday on Wednesday, (okay so I'm not really 29...I'm turning 30... ) YAY, WHOOPEE! Club 33 here we come!!!!!

Ralph said he would take me shopping for a really nice outfit or dress and some dress shoes this weekend. He already has his slacks, white shirt and tie and sports jacket ready! NO white socks! :p:

For all of you who work at DL this is our schedule: We arrive the afternoon of the 29th and will head to DL to have some fun! Then on Wednesday, we meet my friend who is taking us to :club33: and we get our passes and go in the Prk and have some fun til 1PM when we go off to lunch! After lunch we may go back to the hotel to change, or we may just wear our Sunday best all day! We'll see.

Friday and Saturday we are hanging out in the Parks. I will be looking for some pin trading in the afternoon at the Plaza where they have it set up. We have lunch scheduled with Disneymom and her hubby at the Blue Bayou on Saturday! Yay Disneymom! We will hang out with her and hubby for as long as we can on Saturday! We fly out on Saturday night, so we have to be at the airport late afternoon on Sat. 2/2.

We will be staying in the DL Hotel. I will be checking in here, because I found out that the Concierge Lounge has a computer for the use of guests for no charge!!!!! So I will post and check PMs.

We would like to meet as many of you as possible, so PM me here at SGT with where you will be and when. I WILL check in here at SGT while we are there at DL so you can PM me during our stay. I promise to come see you! This is a trip to meet as many of you as we can. Christmas was just too crazy and busy and we got sick on top of that! We will be looking forward to a more relaxed trip this time.

I will be on a scooter again, :wheelchai my back is hurting again. The shot is wearing off and it looks like I need another one! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

So PM me please and let me know where we can find you and when!

YOU TOO, POLAR!!!!! ;)

Purpura, if you want to get together with your hubby and us, let's figure out a time and place! That would be fun! Churchy, can we make plans to see you maybe at Dennys across the street? Let me know if you are free and when. We have to get it all on a schedule, so I don't overlap anything!
We are excited and looking forward to some fun, since Christmas was not the best trip we have had.
See you all soon in Disneyland!!!!!! :bouncemic

Susi...

I hope you have a wonderful time :)

Two Disney related things I always wanted to do. 1) Meet Walt. 2) Take a meal at Club 33. Missed out on #1 (born too late)...

You know that was one of my childhood dreams as well, to meet Walt Disney. He was just like family. Every Sunday night we would all watch "The Wonderful World of Color!"

"The world is a carousel of color".....ahhhhhhhhhhhh just hearing that song in my head, I can hear Walt's voice greeting us on Sunday evening! :walt: :locomotiv
We were at the Park when Walt was still alive and who knows, he may have been sitting up there in his apt above the firehouse while we were exploring the wondrous lands and fantasys he created for all of us! Cool......
I am so glad we went as children when Walt was alive, the Park had a very different feel, it was truly rarified air!

I never heard about Club 33 til much later. I went though many years void of Disney in my life. I was working 3 jobs to support myself and never took a vacation for well over 25 years. I was able to get back to Disneyland when I was able to slow down and enjoy life a little and went there with Ralph. I discovered the long dormant love just waiting to burst from me! It never went away, I just had to set it aside for some years, because I could not afford to go. :(

My newfound old love fills my life now and we plan to go as often as we can to keep the magic alive and the light burning in the firehouse window! It is still very heartwarming to walk under the bridge and catch the first glimpse of Town Square! There is always a lump in my throat and my heart always skips a little beat when we see the castle at the end of Main Street. Though years may change us, Disney keeps us the same when we are surrounded by her magic berm. Nothing ever really grows old there, just like Never Never Land. You can always go back and be that abled bodied little monkey kid running and jumping and playing on Tom Sawyer's Island and screaming like a little girl on the Matterhorn's tight curves! I love Disneyland, for she IS a Grand Old Queen and will always be the best memories of my childhood! :)

It is an honor to go to Club 33 and being the Disney fan I have grown to be, going there makes it a sweet visit! There is so much rich history there. I am an avid Disney history reader and love all the old tales and finding the details that make the place what it is! I am excited to see the place, much more than I am to actually EAT there. ;) I just want to feel the rich wood and fabrics and take in the ambience that was Disney's own dream. It will be a rare treat and I am grateful to the stranger who so graciously allowed us to enjoy the Club. That is a kindness that is truly a gift of generosity.
I will share pictures with you all when I get back and I know someday, you WILL be able to go there, Ktulu. I just feel it. You will have a kind stranger of your own!

Susi,

Don't miss the ladies' restroom at 33! It's beautiful! I may be in the park in the afternoon on Friday the 1st. If I am able to, I will look for you at pin trading in the plaza.

Definitely, I have seen pictures of it at a very good Club 33 site I cited somewhere on this board...lol
I will definitely look for you at Pin Trading. I am bringing a filled Pin Bag this time. I just had everything loose in a shopping bag last trip and was not prepared at all. I have filled my pinbag with lots of goodies, some LEs and HTF pins, as well as traders. I will hand out some of those to kids if they have lanyards on. Maybe we can find some good pins to trade amongst each other's collection of tradables!

I am bringing my LE100 Disney Shopping Golden Princess Set in the hopes that someone may have a REALLY GOOD trade there. I have 2 sets so I need to find a home for one of them. It is a beautiful expensive set.

I collect Bambi, Beauty and the Beast and Ariel, as well as Park Attraction pins and my favorite category, pins with pics of Walt on them! :D:

But I have so many of the pins in my favorite categories already, I fear the only ones I am missing are the really HARD to find and impossible to find! LOL! What pins do you collect most of? I will go through more of my bags and see if I have any of those you like that I can trade. I have thousands of pins and am slowly weeding out the dupes and the ones that I don't need for my permanent collection. I LOVE pins. I am a collector, not much of a trader yet. It is my hobby and my obsession. I am not used to trading, have only done it 4 times, twice with cast members and once with a trader I saw at DtD Pin Traders on the way into the Park. I just had to stop and see what they had on my way into the Park! The best time was trading with Disneymom's son! :D: I am definitely going to be at the Plaza in the afternoon to check it out! I will be a noobee there, so I will be on the lookout for any unscrupulous Pin Sharks. I hear there are a few that come sometimes. I know the worth of most of my pins, pretty much! It will be fun to meet you and trade possibly!!!!! :D:
