According to us in Fantasyland, "Teacups" is a correct and proper name for the Mad Tea Party, as it is what is on our CDS slips. It is what we use to describe the ride to guests and how we give directions to the park exit at Wishes ropes (parade blocks the Liberty Square route). Now the one NAME (I love the attraction:p :) that I hate is "The small small world ride". I think it's the word 'ride' in there or the fact that it's such a well known attraction name that they must be such an SG to mess it up.....

Since most of the names here are from WDW, I just thought I should add some west-coast ones :) . Note, some of these might not actually be common usage.

Disneyland Park = "Magic Kingdom"

Disney's California Adventure Park = "The other park", "The park with beer"

Space Mountain = "Magic Mountain"

Matterhorn Bobsleds = "Magic Mountain" (Again)

HISTA = "The 3D Movie"

California Screamin' = "The Roller Coaster"

Orange Stinger = "The Big Orange"

Golden Dreams = "Whoopi"

Sleeping Beauty's Castle = "Cinderella's Castle/The Castle/The Pink Thing"

And, of course, the one that annoys me to no end...

Redd Rockett's Pizza Port = "Pizza Planet"

When I am giving directions to people on cellphones trying to tell people to come to Plaza Inn I tell the guest on the cellphone to "Have the other members in your party come to 'The Big Pink building next to Tomorrowland' In Disneyland... I also once heard a guest call Tarzan's tree house "Peter Pan's Treehouse" and I directed them to Tarzan's Tree house.

That explains the "popularity" of that attraction...

"Hey, wanna ride Whoopi?"
"Dude, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth..."

Yeah, MILF, that is one abbreviation I can never see without laughing....

I was reminded when going over my notes for my trip report today, I had a CM moment where a guest approached me in Epcot asking about "Space Mission." At least he had the correct words, if not in the right order.

How do you guys put up with it all the time???

Eh...you become numb to it. When I'm at front doors I've taken to cutting people off when they ask "Where's So..."
"Downstairs on the right."

One of my personal favorite convos...
"Where is the Soarin'?"
"Downstairs and to the right..."
"Is the fastpass down there too?"
"Fastpass is located at the entrance of it's respective attraction"
"So where is it?"
"Downstairs and to the left..."
(Guest walks away)
