Alternate Names
In my time working for the Company, I have noticed that Guests tend to use alternate and sometimes generic names for our Attractions. Indeed, I find this a bit funny, however I know a great deal of CMs at certain attractions take offense to these alternate names; I can relate to this as well as many of us take pride in our area. Listed are the most common and recurring alternate names I hear. I'm sure many more can be added.
Real Name: Guest/Alternate Name:
Monorail : The "Bus" or "Tram" (I take offense to this for obvious reasons!)
The Haunted Mansion: "The Haunted House"
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: "The Runaway Train"
Splash Mountain: "Water Mountain"
Magic Kingdom Park: "Disney" (Another offfensive one)
Mission: Space: "Mission to Mars"
Universe of Energy: "Ellen"
Rockin' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith: "Aerosmith"
Tower of Terror: "The Elevator Ride"
Animal Kingdom: "The Zoo"
Expedition Everest: "Mt. Everest," or "The Runaway Train," or as one
person said "the new Thunder Mountain."

Re: Alternate Names
I think we should cut Mission to Mars a break as it was actually a Disney attraction. Granted over at MK and not at Epcot.
