What happened to the Epcot monorail last night

Post by Cranbiz » Thu Jan 17, 2008 11:06 am

Any of our monorail CM's know what happened to the Epcot monorail last night?

I saw RCFD head into Epcot with 2 engine companies and the tower, then we had to send a couple of buses to do the Red express.

When I get to work I'll ask, but as far as I know right now it was just a loss of a rectofier at the teardrop. Train lost power at 135. Stand by and I have more tonight.

There was a fire out back and it caused power surges to much of the east side causing MS to go 101. Epcot monorail was 101 again today when I left the park at about 12:30. They told me the whole beam was down but the thought it was due to lightning last night...

The problem was as cited above last night. Then when they fixed the first problem they somehow tripped all of the MAPO transmitters. They had it fixed by 2:30 or so.
