Possibly but I doubt it. The quotes weren't long enough to reach the limit. Also, it was the first quote that was missing, if it was some limit I'd think it would be the last one cut off.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:Did you hit the max allowed words?
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

Are the SGT Gremlins the scary ones like in the Twilight Zone Plane episodes with Shatner and Lithgow, or the cute ones like Gizmo?

No Shorty I have not taken the steam trains tour, thinking next year when we are down for the holidays (ugh) about doing that hire your own Disney tour guide thing and make up our own tour-all the various transportation related things. Dad is a river rat, I'm the train buff. Last I saw doing this was cheaper than when I sent the whole family (four of us) on the back stage magic tour. Fun but I want more details

Holy Crap, it finally happened. I broke SGT. I'm sorry everyone.Shorty82 wrote:For some strange reason I couldn't get Kwahati's post to quote. Both selecting it for a multi-quote and clicking its quote button didn't do. Clicking it's quote button worked to get the Reply page with the other quotes but not his.
Yo, it's one universal law but two sides to every story

They are very old school Europeans. They would not even allow Ralph and his brothers to watch Three Stooges, Gilligan's Island and other shows when they were kids. Ralph finally saw these shows in re-runs on Nick when he was in the hospital for 2 and a half years. He has no idea what some of the attractions that are based on Disney movies are about!StephM wrote:They might be surprised. We talked to every CM on the ship we ran into and we met ONE from the US. :)
Great CM's on the ships.

They speak German at home, even when I am sitting at the table with them and don't understand what they are talking about. A bit rude, I might say. Very old school and wealthy Europeans. They hate that we go to Disneyland. They think it is a waste of time. :(

Actually, I would rather they stay away from the parks and Disney cruise ships. They don't sound like the type of people I would care to run into.susislicker wrote:...A bit rude, I might say. My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I had the same problem, Shorty, with the multi-quote. I found that I could only multi-quote 3 quotes and if I tried to add another, it would delete the first one I added. Polar, is this a weird glitch?
Trains ARE part of the trip. Getting there should be half the fun. I am afraid of flying, medicate very heavily before I get on a plane and then I sleep through the flight, so I don't have to be aware that I am 35,000 feet in the air in a metal airship that is hurtling through space and wonder what the heck is keeping us up there.
Trains allow you you to see the countryside and cool wildlife and let you stop and smell the roses along the way. If I need to get somewhere fast, and am under time constraints for a vacation, then an airplane is great, I'll sleep. But if I can take a train and make that part of the enjoyment, I will.
I love that rocking motion and the Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo of the whistle in the night. :)
I would like to take train trips to no particular destination, just to ride and sleep on the train. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.....

Ralph could not even read the original fairytales in English. He had to read them in German.Big Wallaby wrote:Actually, I would rather they stay away from the parks and Disney cruise ships. They don't sound like the type of people I would care to run into.

Yes, Wallaby, these are not people you would be inclined to want to be around. They are very judgemental and I walk on eggs when we visit them.
A story about something that happened at DL this last trip:
I had my pic taken with Ariel at Ariel's Grotto in front of the restaurant before the meal. Then during the meal, a CM comes around and wants to know if we want the pictures. This is typical of character meals where you have your pic taken before you eat. When the CM came up to us and started talking about buying the pic during the meal, Ralph looked bewildered and waved them away. I said we would come up after the meal and get the pictures. I asked him what was wrong. He said he did not understand someone coming to the table to ask for money during the meal. He said his father would have been extremely rude to the CM and would probably yell at them.

Now that I think of it, it IS kinda rude to interrupt someone's meal to purchase a picture, but I am so used to it at the Disney parks, it never fazed me. Maybe they should wait til after the meal to let you purchase the pic. But some people would forget, because of all the excitement of the characters and Parks. That may be why they do it that way, after all.
