Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

My wife got one of me doing demolition for an addition to the house. I had fallen through the ceiling and was still hanging on to a joist.vixen101485 wrote:Sure we do, that is if the pic is of you in an odd position. LOL

Good point, when you make something idiot proof, they seem to find a better idiot!!Shorty82 wrote:I would think Disney would know how to design railings that look good and were also idiot proof, or at least more idiot proof than the ones they have now.

True. The human race seems to be driving to maximize the number of future Dawin Award winners.Planner wrote:Build better rails they just make better idiots :D: Nothing is idiot proof, you can slow em down and you can weed some of the more genetically diverse ones out but there are always those...winners in life![]()
One thought about the railings. If the problem is the vertical parts of the rail (the stiles), attach the top of each style with a single nail or screw that is parallel to the floor, causing a hinge. Then the bottom swings free. A series of blocks placed between the bottoms keep the styles in place, and spaced properly. But when it is needed to spread them apart to un-trap someone, simply lift the adjacent spacer blocks and the offending stiles easily spread. Then when the trapped limb is removed, the blocks can be replaced and everything is right back to normal.

Yeah but then you have the morons who have the bright idea of watching how it is done and deciding that they would like them better removed as souveneirs.
