Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I am tired and need sleep where I can steal all the blankets from Donnie and use him as a body pillow....whoops TMI??????

Yup... I've had a couple chances when I worked on the same side as where they have the trolley backstage to see the horses up close and pat them. Rest assured, I made sure I had permission from their care takers, and one told me the horses were like nonverbal children that loved to play with things, and nip at things they were curious about. One even one day nipped at my coat just after sniffing it- He must have smelled something on it from breakfast.

I remember we went to Sea World after the brewski company took over. We were watching the Clydesdales being put through some paces in a paddock. you could get up close and see them (no touching!!) they were the greatest looking animal I had seen in a long time. one of the trainers was telling us that they had to watch thqt they didn't have handkerchiefs, scarves or something sticking out of pockets, cause the horses would take them!!

It got so cold last night the backflow preventer on my store's water main burst. As we still had water we didn't notice until I headed next door to get some lunch a little after 3 this afternoon and saw it squirting water. I turned off the water before leaving work this evening so it wouldn't continue being wasted. The store manager is going to have call a plumber in the morning to get it fixed. The annoying thing is that the backflow burst and had to be replaced less than a year ago.

Yesterday we had a rush on antifreeze. People getting their cars ready for the cold snap bought up pretty much all of it. We ran completely out of our full strength store-brand (Valucraft) and nearly so on full strength Peak. We have some Prestone full strength left but not much. We got some Peak in from our hub store today but most of it went fast. We have plenty of 50/50 antifreeze but the majority of customers want the full strength.


Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
