I have to postpone the party for a while due to finances. We are just going to have a few freinds over for cake and ice cream. Simple like. The kid party is going to happen just not this month. God I hate that stupid working tax crap.

So she will get 2 birthday parties this year (well one party and one un-bday party) We are holding off on it till the middle of May. This way I can have it outside and do more stuff with the kids like the treasure hunt and walking the plank over the quicksand (she has a boat sandbox--perfect theming) The only yard moderations I have to do is some sort of fence up beyond her swingset so no one falls in the creek.
I am sorry to hear that, but a two for one deal is good. Plus it will give you some time to get more ideas and/or resources!!

that is what I was thinking too. Especially since we hopefully are headed down to the parks in March, I may be able to pick up some cool swag and other pirate things and not have to have them shipped up.

Good point, plus you have a few "resources" at the parks also, and I am sure that in a few monts time, could come up with a few things that would make a girls pirate party "over the top!"

Or go all the way and "pin the tail on the SG". The appropriate tail would be one from an ..... To be nice let's call it a donkey. :D:

You could even expand it to include donkey ears.

OK, so it's not Pirate, but the idea is fun anyway.

Now look what you all did. You got me thinking (dangerous). Beware, "stream of conciousness" ahead (keep your hooks and peglegs inside the vehicle). Metal tacks, a thin cork backing to the target. A metal tack under the "bullseye". An mp3 player with a remote start. A layer of aluminum foil under the picture but ontop of the cork. Attach the foil to one lead of the remote switch, and the target tack to the other. When the tail tack goes through the foil and hits the target tack, the circuit is closed and the player lets out a loud "Hee Haw". Or to make the pin the tail game a pirate theme, try pin the parrot on the pirate (two sholders to choose from). Or you can use a photo of Barbosa with (monkey) Jack on one sholder leaving only one sholder for a parrot.

Woooo!! some ones been into the energy drinks!!! That would work, you could use an old "Operation" game and substitute the Buzzer with a MP3 player...

Actually I like that idea. I was trying to think of some way to work POTC into the game. Now that I have more time I can take the time to draw him out on a poster and make little monkeys. HEHEHE!

Part of the fun is that they could color in the poster before the game!

You know, at the shop outside POTC at MK, they usually have a chalkboard near one of the cash registers. My mom showed it to me first and dragged me over ("I would never know this stuff, but you would. Come here and answer a question!") If you answer the question on the chalkboard correctly, they give you a small prize. When I was there last, they were giving away eye patches with skulls and crossbones on them.

The question that day was "Who were the two captains of The Empress?" My answer was "Sao Feng and Orlando Bloom's girlfriend!" They said I was close enough. :D: Maybe the group we'll be with in March can win some extra little things for you by answering some questions, too!

Note: she's only Orlando Bloom's girlfriend because she hasn't met me yet... Well, that, and he's an elven pirate...that's kinda hard to beat.
