Cool sites. I may incorporate a bit of a history lesson in there somewhere for the girls. I need pirates from movies for the quiz sheet.

UUUGGGGG!!! I am frustrated. I went to Staples to get the invites copied (B&W) Simple right? WRONG! OH MY GOD! It used to be so easy, you went and made what copies you needed and went to the register to pay. Now, it is automated. Technology sucks in this case and Staples is going to be making a killing in profits.
First off, I ask the girl how to work the new machines. "well, you.. mmummblble mmmbububbmmmblle mmbubbllbeemmmble " (at top speed) UMMM...Can you repeat that slower and so it is comprehendable.? Yes I really did say that to her. (dont tick off Vixen today, she has to put up with Donnie for the next 72 hours straight) So she repeats everything. Still mummbbbling something about it not expiring and be able to use this card thing the machine spits out for other stuff in the store. I only want to make copies, that is it, nothing more. How do I make copies?
GEEZ Louise, 1st you have to put in money then go make your copies, easy if you only want one copy or so. If you are not sure how many you will be needing (reducing, enlarging, etc)
She asks me how many copies I need. I'm not sure (the reducing enlarging thing) She looks at me like I have a large purple horn growing out of my head. "you dont know how many copies you need?" NOOOOOOOOO I do not cause I have to reduce some, etc. SIGH..."ok welllll ....we will start you with a $1 worth and the machine will shut down when it reaches the limit." So every time I need to add more money, I have to stop what I am doing, come all the way back over here and add more money? "well ya" You gotta be kidding me? Forget it I will print them at home.

Needless to say Staples Corp got a call a bit ago. Very nice gentleman named Steve listened to me rant. ( I am under a time constaint to get these things out in the mail) Took notes and wanted to connect me to the presidents office but they were all in a training meeting. Good customer service on Steve's part.
I left a message for them to get back to me on Wednesday. Told them I was dissapointed in the inconvience factor not to mention the fact that the little cards are a waste enviromentally.

OK...dont venting now

Sorry to hear that, I haven't used staples for a long time now for copying. DW and I needed a fax, so we got a 4 in 1 machine and now we just use that. Didn't know it was sooo complicated.

Okay, go get a bottle of rum and a glass......
