Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I read a few more news reports on it and more recent ones said something about other things are being investigated too. There is no way a 6 year old comes up with this kind of stuff on their own unless their minds have been already poisioned with it for years. Poor baby.
The did a news bit on that in San Diego, and the "aunt" was interviewed and said something to the effect of "she didn't know it was supposed to be real"
Referring to the essay contest.
They should not only take the tickets away, but give some to kids who's parents DID die or were wounded! Jeeez

Yeah right, she didnt know my eye. Let's see...the title of the contest was why I want to win tickets to HM? (something to that effect I am sure) SGmom's interpetation..."How I can get my 6 year to lie so I can get a free trip to NYC"
I really do think they should just take the portion of the trip part of the prize away from her. Sorry little one but your mom made you lie and say your dad died while in the meantime he is living in some other town. Hannah Montana would not be proud of you.
I am just waiting to see what the reps for Disney and Smiley Miley corp says about it.

That is disgusting, using the real pain of real people who really lost someone over there to win tix to a concert. Yeah that's the good old enterprising American spirit!!!! Way to go, Jerk!!!!!!!!!! They need to give those tickets to a child who DID lose a parent over there. Nasty people everywhere....grumble...mumble....grrrr...ought to be caned...grumble...

They interviewed the neighbors, and they said that its a regular family, with mom and dad home every night. And I think they said that he was a plumber!

Good for them!! I am suprised that they didn't offer it to someone who DID loose a parent in the war, but I guess that to be fair, the runner up got to go!
They did have a news show, that showed the girl being made up! It looked the the Bibbity Bobbity Bootique type of place! (we saw it at DTD, and NO I didn't get made up!!)
