A little common sense goes a long way. If guests used it, I wouldn't have to answer so many dumb questions.
I've been working on the churro cart next to the Matterhorn. I've worked there about three times in the last month. The other day this lady comes up to me and asks me about the Matterhorn lines. I tell her that there are two lines that wrap around the mountain and that they are both usually open. She then proceeds to ask me which one is longer. How the f*** would I know? Does it look like I'm monitoring both of them. That's what I wanted to say. But I couldn't.
I do churros quite a bit. At least once a day someone comes up to me and asks me if I have popcorn. I think anyone with two braincells knows what a popcorn wagon looks like. It looks nothing like a churro wagon. Jeez! One of these days I'm just gonna look in the cart and say "Sorry, I'm out."
Am I the only one dealing with these tards?
Using common sense, just too much to ask guests...

Look at it this way, the attraction that I work at is The Great Movie Ride, and the most common question that we get is: Is it a ride? This one person that I work with said that there is a good reason that we have the word ride in the name of the attraction. Yesterday when somebody asked me this question I said no it's a show, and then the guest asked me then why do they have to word ride in the name of it. I then responded that we're trying to figure that one out.
Elvis didn't do no drugs!
trust me on this one - they were asking dumb questions before you were born, and they'll be asking dumb questions long after you've met your maker...it's just the nature of the business...
I always prided myself on being somewhat able to navigate my way around strange new tourist attractions, but on a visit to the Getty Center last year, I had to ask several patient people who worked there all kinds of dumb questions that could easilly have been answered if I could have seen the posted signs (crowd interference)...I also lay the blame at trying to get around with a still-broken foot, being in some pain, and having very little patience...I tried as hard as possible to be extra polite when I was asking the questions and thanked each person profusely as I recall what it's like to have some jerk walk off before I've finished answering a question. And unfortunately, I couldn't hold off on my visit as I was required to submit proof of two museum visits for one of my classes last semester. I should have rented a wheelchair!
