never seen anyone win anything and being a CM haven't won anything either. but, i did take part in a "magical" day. i was at work when the whoever family won the night stay in the Castle Suite....for the second time!

word on Main Street is that the first time they won, they were so needy and picky that they had to change the rules because of them and surprise, they won again and i'm sure they'll change the rules to make sure the same family can't win twice again.

WOW, I would have thought that they would have had those rules in place already, so the magic could be spread out a little!

In the last year, DW and I have gone numberious time to DLR and once to WDW and we saw ONE CM giving a couple a dream prize!

I don't think YOAMD really makes or breaks anything. To me It's more of a color scheme for everything. (except for the Monorails which divert from the purpleish clouds to multi-colored protein spill and musical notes). It's just cute marketing but really doesn't add or take away from the overall resort experience.

One thing I dislike is the whole "Disney Parks" thing when it comes to their marketing. Really kind of cheapens it by referring it to a chain of parks like Six Flags.

Should they promote them Indivually? I thought that was a term they used to encompass ALL the parks?

I think that's what Switch is saying: It's cool to say WDW, but WDW has very little to do with DLR and Tokyo and Paris... Bringing it all under one heading is a little too...uh...corporate? I think cheap is a good word. Very Six Flags-ish... And Disney shouldn't lower themselves to that level. There are lots of people like me who will make multiple trips to WDW in a year and will never contemplate going to other parks for the reason that they're cheap. They're trying to do what Disney does, and they don't do it as well...

Oh! Okay, I nevery really thought about the publicity, as we see commercials every once in a while, but it really dosn't effect us. we go to DL at least once a month average(sometimes more), and WDW once a year(one year we got to go twice, but that was because work paid for a "training" session, and we added a weekend at my expense!) We have been very disappointed when we have gone to other "theme" parks, expecting the Disney approach, and feel let down when its not there!

Locals refer to the YOMD overlay for the monorails as "Pixie Puke".

Just thought folks here would like to know....

I call it Grafitti (sp?). It reminds me of all the pictures I see of NY subway trains. Maybe Tink Tags?

Next I expect to see the Dwarves walking around with hats backwards, tatoos, gold chains, a single gold tooth and flashing "gang" hand signs.
