Honestly, I wish the rental places had respect for their equipment, where if you scratch it up, you pay for the scratches so they look good going out. I love when loading a chair where the owner has done things to it to make it look good, like putting lights on the underside like some sports car drivers do to their car. To me, it says that 1) You're going to have a good attitude about it, 2) You're going to take care of your equipment, 3) You probably know how to get the thing where it needs to go, and 4) If you run over my toes, it's probably my own fault (unlike the bus driver who was strapping in a lady in an ECV, she broke his fingers because he was strapping her down and she moved, taking his fingers in an awkward position with her, then telling him he shouldn't have started doing his job yet :mad :) . If you have your own equipment and it's in good condition, I am going to be more likely to assume you know what you're doing, so to strap you in I am going to trust you when you say it's better to hook in at point A than B.
When it comes to helping someone in a wheel chair that is not just doing it for convenience, I will always go over the top to help make your stay enjoyable. If you have to experience Main Street from butt level, then I'm going to make your time on my bus very nice.
If I still drove buses.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

They don't? I would think that it would be like when you rent a car, if it goes out o.k., and comes back dented/scratched/messy beyond normal use, you would have to pay!Big Wallaby wrote:Honestly, I wish the rental places had respect for their equipment, where if you scratch it up, you pay for the scratches so they look good going out. Redacted . If I still drove buses.
