Computer/Printer question

Post by Princess Susi » Wed Dec 19, 2007 8:02 am

Okay, all you guys are computer whizzes and I need some help quick...I have some pictures that have text on them and I need to make teeshirt transfers of them. I need to mirror image the pictures with text, so that they will print on the transfer paper the correct way so I can read the text. It will print backwards if I just put it in the printer. Do any of you have suggestions as to how I can print these on my computer. Kinkos cannot do it because they use laser printers and they get too hot to make a transfer, it would just peel from the paper. I have never usd Photoshop and looked at it this morning and did not see anywhere to mirror image the pics. We have basic photoshop. Is there a way to do this. I am trying to make a couple of shirts for the trip and no tee shirt palce can get the transfer done for me before Friday!!!!!
Help all you techies. Here is your chance to shine!!!!

I think my wife or I would be able to do that. You say the pictures already have the text on them? Do you have the raw pictures without the text?

Also, don't you want to print everything backward so you can print them properly on the shirts?

What type printer are you printing on? If you look at the printer properties when you go to print (sometimes there's a button at the bottom of the print screen that says properties) you will have a check box for Mirror printing. That should do it. I printed up some transfers for DH that way on an inkjet printer and it worked great.

Just reread your post. I'll have it done within the half hour.

It appears that you want to reverse the image so when it's applied to a shirt it will come out properly.

Open file in Photoshop.

Click on Image and drag down to Rotate Canvas.

Select Flip Canvas Horizontally.

Save and Print.

Don't worry, your friends at SGT will get you through this.

Take a deep breath. Send the pics in that PM. I'll send them back, reversed.

Take another deep breath. Take the reversed image to the printer with the shirts. Enjoy.

Don't know if you were typing when he posted it, but I think Hobie's directions sound right on and specific to the program you're using. I'd try that. (Although Big Wallaby is a great guy, so I wouldn't discourage you from letting him help either...)

Hey susi, I did the flip(rotate) horizontally thing hobie suggested before(needed my kid's help) and it worked, so try again...
They have T-shirt transfer paper at various stores, I'm assuming that is what you're using....
