May 2008

Post by crystal_crtr » Thu Dec 13, 2007 2:53 pm

In May of 2008 my daughter and I will be in WDW by ourselves. So look out world cause we are so excited!! Earlier this year we had to take my husband but he can't go this time because he started a new job recently and doesn't have enough senoirity to get time off during the time that we are wanting to go. I'm glad he's not going because he whines about all the girlie and kiddie stuff so pretty much everything. Because he's not going to be going we get to stay in a Disney hotel. :D:

Ride the POTC again and again and again, then go the AK and ride the tour!!!

We will be there the 20th. We'll be there from the 17th until the 23rd. We are looking at staying at POP Century. We're going to see everything that my husband wouldn't let us see last time.

I'll be at POP near the beginning of March. I'll give you a report when I get back. I usually stay at the moderates, but due to budget constraints, that's not an option for me this time. I think it'll be worth it, though to still be on property even if I do have to suffer through gaudy/tacky decoration on the grounds...the benefits of staying on property are so great! I love package delivery and extra magic hours--at least when I manage to take advantage of them. :p: Maybe they'll let me bring my dog as a seeing eye dog so I can walk around with my eyes closed at the resort. :D: (For the record, she'd suck at that. She is, technically, a "service animal" though, because we used to do search and rescue so she kinda hates leashes and, I'm not sure, but I think a leash would be a prerequisite to passing her off as a guide dog...Also, I'm guessing there's not a whole lot of call for S&R at WDW...)

You'd be surprised... A lot of people seem to misplace their brains and manners. When I go back to work spring break I'm pretty sure I am going to be staying at Pop, but I haven't nailed everything down yet. It's a first for me as well but as a college seasonal CM it's the best I can do.

Am I understanding you right? They'll put you up in a hotel for short seasonal employment? Cool deal if I'm understanding right...except for having to eat out all the time. I've been through that: living in a hotel with no facilities to cook for yourself. Fun for a while, though! :)

Edited to add: Kwahati doesn't know how to find manners. Maybe brains because they'd still smell like people to some degree... Mostly she just finds *whole* people though. And it's only worth the effort to her if they're alive because then they'll play with her when she finds them! (Most service dogs have some sort of reward system. Mines easy: she's just in it for the luvins...and her frisbee!)

Nah, Disney just gives you a discount. I am just staying OP because I won't have the time to drive my car down from NC where my parents live now. I need that Disney Transport the most! Besides I consider it a "working vacation". I figure it's better than the alternative for college students. Going to Mexico and being drunk for a whole week...

As of now our plans have us coming in the 28th of April and leaving the 16th of May. Not gonna work for me. Ralph scheduled that without my input (!) I am going to try to move the schedule a little. Maybe come around the beginning of May and stay until the 22nd or 23rd, that way we could get to meet more people! We will need to talk to our agent....I want to meet you and CMGUY too! I will make sure we see our agent today or Monday!

Course it could be that those were the only dates we could get the rooms we wanted and that is why he did not get my input. We always plan together...so I may be outa luck with changing the dates if we want our usual room request! We may have to change that.... I want to meet more SGTers!!! :D:
