Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

DisneyMom wrote:Well, based on my Hubby, I would have to agree that some things never go past age 10ish-but just like in your experience, that's what makes them so darn cute! One example- HUBBY is very attached to his parents, calls them constantly....I am very lucky as they are the sweetest people ever. :) He also still has all of his old Boy Scout uniforms....
You are VERY lucky to have great in-laws! I don't even know quite how to describe mine. His mom is a religious fanatic who wants him to become a priest. The fact that we are married does not deter her. The last time we went to visit, she told him and I quote: "There is still time for you to become a Catholic Priest!" When he pointed out that he did not now, never had and never would want to become a Catholic Priest, and besides he was MARRIED now, she simply said "Well, there are ways to fix that!" and then she started to PRAY over him!!!!!!! She does not think we are *really* married because we did not marry in the church and just went to the DMV and got our license, signed it and that was it. A 10 buck wedding with bus fare about 4 dollars to get there! THAT is a great story in itself!

She makes us sleep in separate ROOMS when we visit her, not just separate beds, but I am upstairs and he is downstairs! Not any more. I told him, we will be staying in a hotel from now on. No more of this childish bullshit from her. To her credit, she is a very loving woman and is very compassionate and likes me, I just think she would like me better if I became a nun and Ralph became a priest! I'm serious. It is so wierd..... To his credit, Ralph does not put up with the nonsense!

His Dad and Step-mom are a bit better, but his father is a brilliant Forensic Psychologist and has written a book about the phcho dynamics of Voltaire.(for collegiate use most likely...) They are all VERY European, they all emigrated here, so there is a certain old country sensibility about them. His father was aristocracy back in the Hungarian Revolution and had to flee to this country, so he is used to things being just so. At least they let us sleep in their guest room which has twin beds, like Rob and Laura Petrie, but that's okay. Very interesting people. They all speak German to one another when I am present, rude, because I don't know but a couple words of German.

Ralph adores my parents. They are the salt of the earth. Very simple blue collar proud Americans. My pop was in the Army stationed in Europe when he became part of The Battle of The Bulge. My mom was in the Coast Guard in WWII. And they are very plain, simple people who taught us the value of hard work and being fair and kind to others. I am very lucky!
In-laws...I am sure everyone has stories...LOL!
At least Ralph wore long pants and a warm jacket and shoes to the ER this morning. I would not let him out the door until he was dressed properly! My guess is that they will give him steroids or benadryl to stop the itching. He had such a bad rash and was itching like crazy. It looked like he had poison oak all over his bum and everything else *down there* His whole crotch and butt were red and rashy!   I really think it was due to exposure to the cold for too long without proper warm clothing. That was the only place he had it!
Maybe this will teach him a lesson!!!! He was embarassed to go to the ER. He did not want anyone to look at him *down there* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Maybe this will teach him to wear pants outside! You know when I read that sentence back, that sounds WEIRD! Poor eccentric Ralph, God love him and I do too! :D:
soozy*Why yes, my husband IS weird, why do you ask?*slicker :p:

Ralphie is back and I HAVE to humble myself enough to admit: I WAS WRONG! Take note of that, you may never see it again. ;) I WAS WRONG! The rash was NOT from cold exposure, but, due to the fact that he is also allergic to Clindamycin, the seconnd antibiotic they put him on. The knee infection is fine now (if he does NOT do anything to aggravate it!). All his life he NEVER had an allergy to Penicillen based antibiotics and now he does. So they are going to have to be careful what they prescribe in the future. He is lucky. It was a just a rash when we caught it this morning and he would have started developing the other symptoms again in awhile. He told me that he had the rash when he went to bed last night, later than I did and he just put up with the itching ALL NIGHT LONG and never woke me or did anyting to try to get it to stop. He could have taken a Benadryl and that would have helped, but see, I was not awake to tell him that and he won't wake me to get advice and so he suffered all night long. :( *shakes head sadly* I wish he would let me help him in the night when these things happen. At least we could have calmed down the itching. So the docs told him to take Benadryl today and they prescribed a cream for the rash. HAHAHAHA!!! Like Diaper rash, Ralphie needs to be lotioned up and diapered! HAHAHAHA! Hey, don't look at me. I am NOT going to put that lotion on him. That is his job. He got his red bum and boys and he can durn well take care of them! ;)
All's well, that ends well.

Does this mean the neighborhood will get more "exposure"? Maybe you should buy him a onesie for Christmas. With a flap.

My wife has a shirt that reads, "My Next Husband Will Be Normal." I think it's funny. It pisses off a lot of other men. I may get one that reads, "Will trade wife for wine." I shouldn't get too many bruises on my noggin.
