Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Now I almost feel bad for asking for a little Pixie Dust my grandmother's (same one from the appendicitis on Thanksgiving, the only one I have) way. She went to the doctor today and something with her heart made them put her into the hospital for a few days to run a bunch of tests. She's doing fine otherwise. Send most pixie dust to Ralphie and Susi but a little my grandma's way would be nice.

Changing a tire at 7:30 in the morning when I have to be at work is no fun. It's no fun anytime but especially that early in the morning (for me at least) when I should be on my way already. I start backing my van out of the spot this morning and noticed it felt weird on the back driver's side. I stop and look and see that my tire is totally flat. I pull back into my spot, grab my tire tools, call my manager to tell him I'll be late, and started changing the tire. There was a screw stuck in it.

I decided to check the pressure in the idiot tire before putting it on and am glad I did, it was 20 lbs below where it should have been. It is hard work to use a hand pump to pump up an idiot tire from 40 to 60 lbs. Got the tire changed and headed to work. Wound up being only about 20 minutes late.

I work for AutoZone and regularly deliver parts to shops who have accounts with us so I get to know the mechanics. I was talking to one today about my tire and he told me to bring it by later and he'd fix it for free with a better style plug than what we sell and was my original plan to fix the tire. I took it by after work and he fixed it and put it back on the van for me. It is nice to know mechanics pretty well. Saved me about 8 bucks and he did a better job than I could have. I just owe him a Mountain Dew sometime.

Or a brewski!!!!

Nice thing about prayers and pixie dust, they never run out. So I am sending pixie dust to you, with some dropping on Shorty82's grandma on the way.

Barrel of it enough for each of you?

Glad Ralphie's doing better.

Ralphie is home and better! He had a severe allergic reaction to some antibiotics he was prescribed for an infection on his knee. He scraped it up preyty badly a few days ago and it got ooey gooey and they needed to get him on antibiotics. He had taken the same drug before, he had a bad reaction this time. So he is home and well. Feeling better and I am going to make him rest. He is one of those guys that will not rest unless forced to...
So no baking cookies tonight, he will go to sleep early on my command!
I am so thankful he is okay. They did a scan of his brain to rule out stroke and heart attack and took blood, urine and all those fun tests. They were fascinated by his brain scan... :D: because of the accident, it looks different in there! Maybe it is empty? LOL! Don't tell him I said that. I am so relieved he is home now. *siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.........*
Thank you all for your good wishes and prayers and thoughts. I adore you all!
Shorty, I am sending pixie dust and prayers your grandma's way! :)
I am going to rest now myself. It is past my bedtime. It is 7:30 almost, I usually am in bed by 5:30 or 6PM! I sleep cause my back hurts and I can't move around, but today I was worried about Ralphie and stayed alert until I knew he was okay!
Love to you all,
Nighty-Night! Sweet Dreams to you, and I am sure WEIRD dreams for me!
Susi :)

Apparently I am really old or concerts have changed a lot in the past 15 years since I have been to a major one. My ears hurt and my eyes hurt from the flashy strobe like lites. Decent concert tho. If I hadnt known it really wasnt Pink Floyd I would have thot it was the original up on stage. Fantastic light show and some neat videos on the screen behind them--tho a few made me rather fuzzy and dizzy from the swirling effects of kaledioscope like designs. I actually drifted off at one point---Hey it is PF music and is relaxing and I was tired. The best entertainment was the "dancing Dude" He was pretty funny and we were taking bets on how long it would be before he fell over the second story railing. Poor security had to keep chasing him down the aisle and telling him to stop twirling and SIT. LOL

I am rambling now cause I am super tired and I have been going thru computer withdrawl
